“The best way to know a city is to walk it.” Simone de Beauvoir, renowned French writer, was right.
And it is especially true for Marseille.
Marseille is unique, a city with 100 personnalities, an oxymoron where calm and noise live together in a chaotic harmony.
The oldest city in France, 2600 years old, still has a young beating heart, and the best way to feel it is to simply walk on it.
On this tour of 8 people maximum, you'll experience and discover, with a local, passionate and bilingual guide, what makes Marseille, Marseille.
We will wander through the small and only walkable streets of Le Panier, learn about Marseille's rich history one monument after the other. We will climb to Notre Dame de la Garde, overlooking the panoramic view of the city, see hidden gems that can be only seen on foot, lose ourselves in Le Roucas Blanc, and go back in time visiting the little fishing port of Le Vallon des Auffes.
And so, so much more.
Join us exploring this southern treasure.

The heart of this Marseille Guided tour was Charles Mondon, our guide. He was so accommodating and willing to work with our ever changing group numbers. We appreciated his ability to accommodate us all as well as our timing of event, and his communication skills, updating us as we got closer to his tour date. No doubt a fabulous tour but Charles was enthusiastic and so knowledgeable about his city. We learned so much but more importantly appreciated his city’s beauty, culture and history! This is a must for a tour of the highlights of Marselle!

Charles was a very helpful guide from the start. He messaged us in advance with where to meet and how to find him. The tour was very interesting covering several parts of Marseille. Charles also sent us lots of recommendations for our stay in Marseille. He catered to everyone in the group, from different countries and abilities. Thank you Charles!
