Our guide will pick you up directly from your preferred pick up location in Surabaya or Malang in the midnight around 11:30pm. Take a nap in the car towards Mount Bromo which is around 2-3 hours of driving. Once there, you will change to a 4WD Jeep to Bromo National Park. It's a bumpy journey, but you will watch one of the most beautiful sunrises you’ve ever seen

Scam and treat tourists as 'walking credit card'

1.00I don't recommend this trip to anybody. In my opinion it's one big scam to catch western tourists and squeeze them like lemon from all money... 2 people, 300 euro in total - it's not worth... It's much better to just find driver by yourself and go there. Here are some few points to justice my opinion: 1. Nobody on this trip could speak English, non of the driver or guides. It was promised English speaking guide, but my guide could only say "my name is". So I didn't receive any information about the visited places. Many times we were left on ourselves, guide was more interesting to smoking cigarettes. So I paid for guide, but I didn't receive any information about place, even information like how long time we can spend in place, what is next etc. 2. Miss information... In description was written that entrance for Mt Bromo is 250.000 IRD per person and waterfall 200.000 IRD. I texted 2 days before on WhatsApp to tour operator and they told me it's 400.000 IRD for Mt Bromo and 250.000 IRD for waterfall. I was surprised because it wasn't what I could see in description. I posted pictures from WhatsApp conversation to prove. After I expressed my opinion, tour operator agreed that I will pay values according to description. There is also not described what is this payment... Guide asked us to pay him this money for Mt Bromo, but we didn't receive any ticket or anything... There was also no place where guide used this money, so my assumption is that this money is payment for guide but it wasn't mentioned anywhere... 3. Cheating even more... - when we arrived to waterfall parking, driver asked us to pay him 200.000 IRD for entrance per person. We did it. Bad that nobody told us that entrance is 45.000IRD and rest of money goes to guide which can't say single word in English + for ride on motorbike. I will add that ride was without helmet what made me feel super uncomfortable... For me it's scam and treating western tourists as 'walking credit card', just pay... pay... pay... on WhatsApp also nobody informed me that I can pay just 45.000 IRD entrance, information everywhere is 200.000 IRD... so 155.000 IRD was for 3min motorbike ride + escort of guide which can't communicate... perfect... 4. Lack of information... because of this I couldn't fully enjoy my trip... In description was mentioned to take warm clothes because it may be cold at nigh at Mt Bromo point. But nobody mentioned to take full set of clothes to change after, to take swimming suite, raincoat and flip-flops for waterfall. Because this information was missing we couldn't go close to waterfall and enjoy it... of course there are local people there which will sell you stuff... again... pay pay pay...

1.00I don’t recommend this tour. I booked it initially and the responses on WhatsApp were top notch. Unfortunately on the ground things didn’t go well. First they changed my guide last minute to a new driver guide who doesn’t speak English. It wasn’t an issue per say he was nice and we managed to communicate. Then things got worse with the guide in Mont Bromo, he spoke English but gave no information whatsoever. He spent most of his time on the phone and rushed the whole tour. I had to befriend other tourists to speak to their guides. Last the waterfall experience is very bad, it is extra and I slipped couple times. After validating, the attraction is closed per the government advisory due to the danger of it. Be careful and shop around for better price/quality experience.

5.00Didn’t get much sleep but the view at sunrise was definitely worth it. Then the ability to actually look into a volcano is something I’ll never forget. Transportation with Gilang was nice and easy he was great.

2.00If you want to attend a road show of cars in action, this is the tour you should book. If you are looking for exhaust fumes and noise, this is highly recommended. Had a great guide that took us to a location that suffers from all features of overtourism. Stay away and give the place a rest; please.
