Easy to book and plan this tour and great to do it as a couple and not part of a group, it made the experience all the more valuable. It was a very early start but absolutely well worth it to witness that sunrise; an experience that apparently not many westerners participate in. Warm clothes were definitely needed at that altitude and before the sun rose. Great photo opportunity and amazing skyline. Opportunity for us all to have a coffee at the sunrise parking area. Our host and guide Bon was a really great guy and we had plenty of time at each of the stops. Bon was always available and offering to take photos. The breakfast on the go was a nice touch and more than enough. The trek to the Karen village with the local guide Nee was brilliant and Nee was very engaging and informative and like Bon always offering to take photos. Fantastic waterfalls and learning about the coffee and rice growing and harvesting. We finished the trip with a visit to another brilliant waterfall and photo opportunity before Bon dropped us back to our Hotel.

This is a must see excursion. Pictures do not do justice to the amazing views. Lee is an outstanding driver who is knowledgeable and friendly. It is a long tour with lots to see and do and he made sure we got to do everything without it feeling rushed. I highly recommend going on this excursion with Lee!

We had an amazing day with Li as our driver. As another reviewer noted, his English is developing, but we were able to communicate fine, and thoroughly enjoyed the day - from the gorgeous, chilly sunrise in the park (bring a coat) to the delicious khao soi for lunch. In between, we took a stroll at the top of the mountain, saw the stupas, visited a local market, and had an amazing, downhill, hike with a local guide, Nin, ending at her village, where we watched weavers and sampled local coffee. Definitely recommend this tour, especially if the one that starts later doesn’t work with your schedule. One tip: the coffee shop at the sunrise spot sells hats and gloves 😉

Sadly the weather was not the best, cloudy and foggy so we were not able to see the sunrise, but our driver made sure to make up for it. We were given a delicious breakfast, along with the best khao soi we’ve tried. It was from a local restaurant. We were never rushed and at the end to make up for the lack of sunrise we were brought to a place in chiang mai that sold jewelry and a silk factory which was super nice. During the hike we were accompanied by a local guide who was very nice and was telling us facts about the village and the trails. This was one of my favorite activities and would for sure do it again
