Learn about the traditional cuisine of Naxos, Greek food, or satisfy you passion for cooking with a traditional cooking course at a rural village. All dishes are made from local and fresh ingredients and with pure organic products. Learn all the secrets of herbs and aromatic plants. At the end, the cooking lesson turns into a feast as you enjoy the dishes you have prepared, along with local wine and traditional music. The lessons will take place in small or large groups, in couples and families, upon agreement, at the times and days you choose. If you choose to, walk along the river and get to know some of the beauties of the village. Make the most of more than a simple cooking lesson, but a rich experience, as you cut vegetables and fruits from the garden or even make cheese together with the villagers!

5.00Incredible experience—we’ve done many cooking classes in other countries, but this was the best by far! This is a family owned and operated farm, and the warmth, generosity and sincerity is felt by guests in the class. From walking under 1,000 year old olive trees, harvesting vegetables from the garden, and taking a tour through history on the property, I can’t recommend this highly enough. If you’re on the fence about booking this, this is your sign to book it and thank me later!

5.00Perfect thing to do for a few hours, picking fresh vegetables and fruit, helping to prepare the meals, tour of their gardens and property and of course the delicious meal. A perfect traditional Greek experience including Greek dancing and even breaking dishes. The family who runs this is such lovely people. Worth every penny. They also sell their own homemade olive oil, spirits and wine which are incredible.

5.00Great experience touring the farm, picking vegetables, cooking and then eating a wonderful meal. Jack was a wonderful guide that opened his home to us and gave a brief history lesson as well! We traveled with 2 kids, 10 and 13, highly recommend!!

5.00This cooking class at Basiliko was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! It was the perfect mix of hands-on learning, delicious food, and genuine Greek hospitality. We learned how to prepare traditional Naxian dishes using fresh, local ingredients, with fun and helpful guidance from our hosts. The setting was beautiful and relaxed, and the whole experience felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. We finished the evening with a shared meal and lively Greek dancing — such a joyful, memorable way to experience the culture. Highly recommended!
