Pacaya Volcano is one of the most active and emblematic volcanoes in Guatemala, famous for its constant volcanic activity and offering an accessible ascent full of spectacular views. Uploading it is a moderate effort experience that combines nature, adventure and unique landscapes.

I was a bit disappointed at first because I had verified a 7 A.M. pick up time the night before. But due to a communication issue, I waited for 35 minutes, went back to my hotel room, then thankfully was called from the front desk at 7:50 for my ride. Overall the experience was excellent, although maybe a little more expensive than necessary. Our driver, Michael, was very nice, came in a very nice vehicle, and drove well. Our guide, Walter, was incredible! I would highly recommend him. I asked for a tour in Spanish because my friend traveling with me is from Nicaragua and speaks mainly Spanish. I am from the U.S. and my Spanish is fair, but not great. I was very pleased to find that Walter spoke English quite well and would translate anything for me that I did not understand in Spanish. The views of the volcano were outstanding and my friend and I both enjoyed the experience very much.
