5.00Stop! This is a fabulous tour, especially for first-timers to Honolulu. You MUST ask for Papa P as your tour guide and driver. His knowledge of the island is amazing, and he will steer you to so many great experiences. We started at the Pearl Harbor memorial, and we didn't battle any crowds to pay respect to those who fell from the attack. Next, we experienced the Polynesian Cultural Center, which is a modern park representing many island cultures, arts, dance, and costumes. Papa P helped navigate the way so we saw a parade of all of the Polynesian islands, including Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, New Zealand, and others. We also visited several of the country exhibits and presentations... Really great! Disappointing was the Dole Plantation, as this was just an overpriced souvenir store that is only loosely connected with the Dole pineapple company, who now is growing and canning in the Phillipines. So Papa P brought us to his favorite coffe/ice cream jaunt, and that was terrific. Earlier in the day, we also visited a macadamia farm...cool! What a great day and tour.
