I lived the unique experience of walking on one of the few advancing glaciers in the world. For about an hour, you will explore its crevasses, caves and formations accompanied by specialized guides. The excursion includes a sailing through the South Arm of Lake Argentina, which offers breathtaking views of the glacier from the water.
At the end, you will enjoy a toast with views and walk the walkways of Los Glaciares National Park.
Depending on the contracted option, the experience may include transfer to and from your hotel, or take place without transfers.

El Calafate
We start the activity with the transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate (in case you hire option with transfer)
Los Glaciares National Park
Once we are in the National Park, we will board the port and after a 20 minute sailing we will be ready to start a trek along the coast to where we will begin the trekking.

5.00Very nice experience! While Minitreking is not with this Enterprise, the move and everything else was very cute! The moment to see the glacier for the first time made it super special in the transfer, with the background anthem and countdown! Beautiful everything! And minitreking is amazing, if you can do it don't hesitate. There's no comparison to seeing it from afar.

5.00We did the boat cruise - hike onto the glacier - drive to the viewpoint over the glacier - back to town. While walking on the glacier was fun and something totally different, the highlight for me was actually the end! A series of boardwalks winds down the side of a mountain and you get different views of the glacier - surely one of the most beautiful views in the world. The tour was well run but keep in mind you're in a large group (full size coach bus 100% full) so there's a bit of wasted time collecting/waiting for everyone etc. Don't miss this if you're in the area.

5.00We chose the without transfer option since we had already rented a car in El Calafate. The jetty is a nice drive from El Calafate. You have to pay the all cash park entrance fee of ARS 12000 per person at a park station (as of November 2023) a few km before the jetty The check in process at the jetty is very smooth. They tell you which pier to go to and then you board a nice boat which takes you ashore to the left hand side of the glacier. From there, guides greet you and take you to the camp where they put some crampons on your shoes and give you a helmet. You can leave your bags here if you like. The time spent on the glacier is magical and the guides are very knowledgeable. You have to be reasonably fit and not afraid to walk on an unfamiliar surface. Once you are off the ice, they take you on a walk through the neighbouring woods and you can relax for coffee and snacks/lunch (you bring the snacks) before the boat takes you back. You are then free to go to the pasarelas on your own if you have your own car. I will say this is almost a once in a lifetime sort of an experience - do it if you are able.
