Enjoy unlimited food and beer and/or soft drinks on this authentic evening food tour by tuktuk that gets you deep into our favorite neighborhoods where locals eat. During this adventure you’ll discover how deep Cambodian cuisine reaches within Southeast Asian culture.

This experience goes beyond the usual market and street food samples to shine a light into local life that can still be found hiding in Phnom Penh. We'll visit 4 authentic sit-down eateries plus a local bar, including the best versions of our favorite dishes. We'll explore local neighborhoods by tuktuk, with unlimited cold beer in hand, and enjoy the evening with your local foodie guide.

Our goal isn't just to eat a LOT (which we'll do!), but show you every part of the process and tell you about each dish and each vendor. This is why we visit mom & pop style shops who have become a local staple in their neighborhoods.

Taste a time where Cambodian kings rode armored elephants into battle, where the Tonle Sap lake was only known by legend as the “Land of Gold” to far-off Indian empires, and Spanish invaders on the Mekong brought the Khmer cities of Chatamouk and Longvek to its knees through cannon fire. Dishes that were created and defined through pivotal moments of history persist through the centuries despite the efforts of the Khmer Rouge to isolate and eliminate local food culture. Come and see what they tried to destroy and couldn’t, and taste the act of rebellion by local chefs who dared to remember and rediscover these recipes in a post-civil war era.

We've done lots of food tours over the years and this is one of the best. Our guide Chea was excellent, giving us the background to all the dishes. The stops were mainly in restaurants, and not street food ( except for the excellent pork ribs) and all warrant a return visit. Chea gave us a locals insight into life in Phnom Penh and Cambodia's modern history.All in all a great evening discovering Phnom Pehn and its food scene. Highly recommended.

Incredible cultural and food experience - please please please do yourself a favor and sign up for this tour. We learned more in a single evening about the food and culture of Cambodia then we could have in a whole week (maybe even a whole month). The highlight was absolutely our guide, Chea. Not only did he speak very good English, but he had an infectious, friendly and energetic personality. He explained everything in detail and shared so much about Cambodia. The spots he took us too were local, authentic, delicious, and clean. We went to 3 local dinner spots, tried an INCREDIBLE street food BBQ spot, a street food dessert spot, and ending with a lovely rooftop bar. 100% recommend

Had an amazing tour with Chea! All the food we had was delicious and it was so nice to be driven around to visit local restaurants that I would have never visited alone and trying dishes I would not have ordered. It was also a good mix of some walking and sightseeing as well, not only eating. Lastly, I learned so much about modern Cambodian life and culture from hearing about Chea’s experiences and stories. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Phnom Penh!

This food tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We had the best guide, Chea, who made the tour that much better. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was incredibly delicious at every stop, with authentic flavors that really showcased the local cuisine. It felt well thought out and never rushed. I left full, happy, and with a much deeper appreciation for the food scene. Highly recommend!

This food tour absolutely amazing. The tour guide, Chea was an absolute gem. He was so much fun and chose the best dishes to sample to get a good representation of Cambodian food. I understand why Lost Plate tours are so highly rated. I would absolutely recommend giving it a go. And ask for Chea. He was great!

A wide variety of great food and restaurants. Chea was a fabulous guide. I’d done 2 other Lost Plate tours in Bangkok and Hanoi - this one was as good as, if not better than, the others. Lost Plate is a unique food tour company, I highly recommend them!

This is my fourth Lost Plate food tour and it didn’t disappoint. As usual it was beautifully planned and we truly got an authentic Cambodian cultural cuisine experience. Our lovely food tour guide, Chea made our experience even more memorable! His exceptional hospitality, knowledge and genuine kindness absolutely made us felt so warm and happy to experience this tour with him. As always we definitely recommend lost plate and we also recommend doing this tour with Chea! I must also mention our driver whose name I can’t remember was extremely safe and professional!
