This tour offers a spectacular afternoon and early evening out on the water, and will take you on a magical journey through the waters around Phang Nga bay, where you can witness the incredible natural wonder of bioluminescence and enjoy exhilarating sea canoeing activities. What exactly is bioluminescence you might ask! Well, this is the capacity of some creatures to emit light and can be found in numerous forms in the Phang Nga Bay area. One of the most noteworthy instances is the bioluminescent plankton present in the bay’s waters. These tiny organisms emit a bright blue-green light when disturbed, producing a captivating appearance in the water. The phenomenon is caused by chemical reactions within the plankton, which produce light as a by-product.

Although this doesn't start until the afternoon, it's still a long day from start to finish. Beautiful places, caves and of course the night swim in the bioluminescence. The guide and boat crew were great and so was the restaurant and food.

Phang Nga Bay Bioluminescent Plankton and Sea Canoes tour was amazing. The tour is an entire 8+ hours packed of exploring. The exploring of the caves were breathtaking. The canoe rides exploring the beauty of historic rock formations was amazing. The Thai meal at Marie Seaview Restaurant was unbelievable with buffet style of over 20+ dishes on the Koh Panyee, a Muslim floating fishing village in Phang Nga Bay. We got to see the Bioluminescent Plankton near a cave in the heart of darkness- truly a wonder of nature. Our tour guide Sun was absolutely amazing as well has his team. This tour is well worth it. Never felt rushed ; and they provided snacks, fresh fruit and drinks throughout the day. Highly recommend.

This is THE TOUR you need to do when in Phuket. You will see amazing places and have an amazing dinner. That being said, we had a big unfortunate circumstance on our tour. My five star rating is taking everything into account except the fact that we were stranded in the ocean in the dark for a while. I think the driver of the boat was not paying attention to exactly where he was going for the bioluminescent part because we got stuck in the middle of the sea at low tide (in the pitch dark). We had to be rescued by a small boat from a nearby ancient floating village. It was a very scary ordeal! They kept saying “This never happens, so sorry. You can ask for full or part refund if you want.” They did end up showing us the bioluminescent part, but it made the tour two hours longer and we didn’t get back to our hotel until almost midnight. We were exhausted. We did ask for a partial refund and it was rejected. I think that we really deserved at least 50% back because the tour was expensive and the experience of being stranded in the sea for so long was stressful. Our kid has an anxiety disorder and we had to really work to keep her calm. We all had to get out of the boat, tried to help get the boat free, walked over to the rescue boat in the water, hurt our feet on rocks and shells and got scrapes, some people lost their shoes, climbing into the new boat with your belongings, etc. - it was NOT easy! Disappointed that the tour company did not offer any refund at all and had the nerve to reject a partial refund when it was requested.

Very experienced staff. Wanted us to get the best out of our experience. Sonny was fab. Took us to cave to see bioluminescence due to moonlight making it less visible on the beach. It looked white to our eyes but he took a video of it and sent it to us. Amazing going through mangroves on kayak. Kayak guides great too, pointing interesting things out to take photos of. Took pics at James Bond island. Swam in a lagoon all to ourselves and could jump off the roof of the boat. Had lovely food at the floating Muslim village in a storm. Then headed back in the dark with lightning still flashing (saw bioluminescence on way back). We’re also given drinks and fruit during the day.

The scenery was awesome but the tour was run by 12-18 year old kids. One of them kept making crude comments and actions to me about my wife then after dinner we were heading to see the bioluminescent plankton and they ran our boat into a sand bar in the middle of the bay so they had to call in some rescue boats and we were out rocking the boat to try and get it unstuck. Very poor problem solving skills and this caused us to be stranded for almost 2 hours. We still completed bioluminescent plankton portion at 10pm and got back to marina around 11:30pm but it was very underwhelming. Scenery and kayaking get 5 stars, food gets 3 and the staffing and organization get a 1. Not sure if there are better options but I think the company could work on customer experience to make it much more enjoyable.
