The Vancouver North Shore Tour is an excellent way to get a little light adventure before or after your cruise. This 7 hour post-cruise excursion will take you into the stunning nature that surrounds the city. You’ll drive over the Lion's Gate Bridge, walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, spend time at Grouse Mountain, and explore the Capilano Salmon Hatchery.

Lions Gate Bridge

Travel over the iconic Lions Gate Bridge and enjoy scenic views of Vancouver's North Shore. Also known as the First Narrows Bridge it crosses the Burrard Inlet, a busy route for cruise ships, recreational boaters and seaplanes. Take a look back and catch a glimpse of the downtown Vancouver skyline and Stanley Park.

Capilano Salmon Hatchery

Located on the Capilano River, the Capilano Salmon Hatchery gives visitors the opportunity to learn all about the lifecycle of Pacific Salmon. Tour through the Interpretive Centre to see the different stages of development before the juvenile salmon are released into the river. Keep a lookout, you may see mature salmon returning! Best times to view species: Chinook Adults (October – November) Coho Adults (June – November) Steelhead Adults (March – April) Coho Juveniles (All Year) Chinook Juveniles (March – May)

When you get off the ship they will pick you up at the ship and drop you off at your hotel. Nice tour, and gives you a lot of time to enjoy each location. And takes you to some very cool locations!!!

Nice stops at Salmon. Hatchery, Capilano Bridge & Grouse Mtn. It does involve a lot of walking but manageable. At end of tour recommend only 1 or 2 downtown stops vs the +6 stops. Fighting downtown rush hour traffic extended the time significantly especially if you were being dropped at the airport.

Great little post cruise excursion. Kevin was entertaining and really took care of us. Capilano bridge park was beautiful and well maintained. Grouse mountain has potential and could provide more but wasn’t bad. Airport dropoff worked out great after excursion.

Bring your walking shoes, water and above all your camera. I’ve never spent any time in Vancouver except for the airport. With a day layover we decided to make the most of our time. This trip, with 3 stops, was the best we could have done to see and get a good feel for Vancouver. What a beautiful place! Our guide Heather was great and you can tell she loves her city and was excited to share her experiences as well as facts and history. Pick up and drop off was easy. We had a really great day.

It was a bautiful day, we saw the capilano park with the suspension bridge and the Grouse Montain. Espassialy amazing was the gondola to the montain.

When notified by the airline that our flight had changed to 11 pm for our return home we now had a whole day to do something special. We booked the post cruise excursion was just supposed to be a filler for the day, but we were wrong, it ended up being one of the highlights of our vacation. Derek, our guide, was amazing. Knowledgeable, funny and just fun to be around, he led us on so many sites from the mountain, suspension bridge to beautiful vistas. We would highly recommend this excursion, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Stay away. Tour is advertised as a way to fill time while waiting for an evening flight. We met up with the driver who informed us he couldn’t guarantee that he’d be able to drop us off in time for our flight at 8:45PM! We were completely caught off guard by this and chose not to go on the tour. The driver Brent said we’d have to jump off early and find a taxi or uber to the airport. Now the kicker the most the company will do is refund us 25%. Talk about bait and switch.

Highly recommend this tour. Disembarked cruise and met friendly tour guide Quentin right outside terminal. Wonderful way to fill the day in prior to flight out that evening. Tour of salmon hatchery and forest walk very informative, side trip to dam spectacular. Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain at your own leisure, plenty to do and you can be as active as you choose. The walks around Capilano are beautiful and managed to time our visit with birds of prey presentation. Grouse Mountain offers fabulous views, other highlights included the lumberjack show and viewing the grizzly bears. Great fun for all ages. Good value for money.

We went on an all day excursion to Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse mountain, as well the Salmon hatchery. Our tour guide was Basil and he was wonderful with so much knowledge of Vancouver and the area! The day was filled with lots of walking around and exploring. Fun way to fill the day before our late evening flights home.
