An audio tour of Sanssouci Palace is included in the price. During the sightseeing tour, enjoy the Dutch Quarter and not to forget the Russian Colony Alexandrowka. During the summer months, you will also have the opportunity to take a short walk through Sanssouci Park. After returning to Berlin, the tour ends back at Kurfürstendamm.

Sanssouci Palace
Sanssouci was the summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, in Potsdam, located nearby Berlin. Sanssouci is notable for the numerous temples and follies in the park. The palace was designed/built by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff between 1745 and 1747 to fulfill King Frederick's need for a private residence where he could relax away from the pomp and ceremony of the Berlin court.
Glienicke Bridge
The Glienicke Bridge is a bridge across the Havel River in Germany, connecting the Wannsee district of Berlin with the Brandenburg capital Potsdam. It is named after nearby Glienicke Palace. The current bridge, the fourth on the site, was completed in 1907, although major reconstruction was necessary after it was damaged during World War II. During the Cold War, as this portion of the Havel River formed the border between West Berlin and East Germany, the bridge was used several times for the exchange of captured spies and thus became known as the Bridge of Spies.

5.00Yasmine our guide made this tour very enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable and talked enthusiastically about a multitude of things including the buildings, history and the landscape of the areas as we travelled to Potsdam around Potsdam and back to Berlin. En route we stopped briefly at the infamous Glenicker bridge between East and West and then the impressive Neues palace where the young Princess Victoria spent time. The inside of Sansoussi palace is definitely worth seeing it's so beautiful. It wasn't the best time of year to visit the outside as it was snowing a little but one could imagine the beauty of it in spring and summer. Thanks to Yasmine and her careful driver.

5.00Was staying in Berlin by checkpoint charlie but took the train to Potsdam for this viit to see Sanssouci and the New palace easy enough to get there on the train and the guided tour was good.Although the weather was cold ..minus 4 when we went inside the palace even that was unheated so keep your coats with you.

One moment you’re captivated by the anecdotes about Frederick the Great’s, and the next you’re standing in awe at the sweeping gardens, columns, and palatial beauty sparkling in the sun. 🌞🌿 What makes Pete truly exceptional is how effortlessly he keeps everyone engaged. He knows that travel is about fun as much as facts. 5.00This tour was excellent- the guide provided many interesting details on the drive to Potsdam, and Sans Souci was fascinating (with a lot of information about Frederick’s life at the palace). On thee return trip, hearing about AVUS and seeing the grandstand was fascinating.

5.00Excellent half day tour ably conducted by Tour Guide Susan and Driver Kadri. Susan was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and presented us with valuable insight and knowledge about Berlin, its history, and how it has developed over the years. She is very well informed and an extremely capable and well polished Tour Guide. Driver Kadri was a safe and steady driver who steered us to our destination with confident and smooth driving.
