Great experience today visiting Luxor we did the private tour and this was. A perfect option as with children ages 11 & 8 it allowed to do the tour at our own pace and in our own time. Our guide Ahmed Elsisi was great he explained the history in a way both children were engaged and understood. We then had opportunity to explore on our own and he took lots of photos for us. We would highly recommend him. We also had two great drivers who picked us up from Hurgada and drove us to Luxor we felt completely safe and they drove us round Luxor. They provided us with plenty of drinks and looked after our bags so we didn’t have to carry everything around they were excellent. Great trip today!

We had the most wonderful day on this tour with our lovely guide Professor Ahmed Elisis. He was so knowledgeable and told a story as we went around the whole day which was such a wonderful way to learn about Egypt and we all feel we learnt so much more than we expected to. We found having a guide for a day like this was a great decision as we would have gone around and thought everything was amazing but we loved learning about exactly what we were looking at. Ahmed knew so many people along the day which was wonderful as everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it really put us at ease. It was a very warm 40c+ on the day and after walking up and down to the tombs at valley of the kings I started to feel a little hot and fainted. Ahmed couldn’t of been more of a gentleman and took great care of me all day from then on when I wasn’t feel the best from the heat but ensured myself and my family still had a fantastic time. He is so knowledgeable and just a wonderful person. We highly recommend this tour and asking for Ahmed as your guide, you will be in very safe hands. Our driver was also really friendly and made sure we got everywhere on time and back safely to our hotel. He provided snacks and water in the vehicle for us and even leant €1 for an emergency toilet break on the way home. Be sure to take money for tips on the trip that would be our top tip. Fantastic day and would happily do it again.

It's a 3 1/2 hour drive from Hurghada to Luxor. The roads are in need of some botox, lots of wrinkles ( just being cheeky). Let's just say they aren't like back home. The tour in itself was pretty amazing. Professor Ahmed Elsisi did an amazing job explaining anything we wanted to know about. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job at steering us clear of all the vendors (scammers that try to sell you cheap Chinese merch). Lunch was ok, considering they feed lots of groups of tourists. Our highlight was burial chamber of Tut Ank whatshisface......j/k it was all great.

Early start 5am long drive through the desert in nice air-conditioned car. Met with our guide Samira in Luxor. Then off we went. Samira was very knowledgeable. At the Valley of the Kings visited five tombs ( 2 had to pay extra for as advertised £27 for two adults but well worth it will need a credit or debit card to pay no cash). Samira went at our pace and explained as we went. Food was nice and tasty. A bit thank you to Samira and both the drivers. Intresting traffic to say the least.

Fantastic day trip from Hurghada to Luxor with Ahmed the driver and Ahmed El Sisi our guide for the day. It’s an early 5am start but Ahmed arrived on time and we began the drive. It’s a long way but there are a couple of stops where you can buy drinks, snacks and use the facilities. We started at the valley of the kings, then the temple of hapshetsut followed by the collossi of memnon with a stop at the artists alabaster workshop in between before a buffet lunch. After this we jumped on to a felucca for a scenic trip along the Nile and returned to finally visit the habou temple which was an impressive site to behold. Ahmed the guide was extremely personable, knowledgeable and full of insight, bringing history to life and describing the many statues, glyphs and carvings in great detail. After this we were on our way back to the hotel and were able to reflect on a great day which we would absolutely recommend. Overall, the day was fantastic. If we were going to over any comments for continuous improvement or for those partaking: the car did smell a little of petrol at first which was a bit off putting at 5am but Ahmed our driver soon sorted and he also provided lots of drinks throughout the day. The cleanliness of toilets were variable with some not as clean or well equipped as others so use at your discretion. We also tipped a lot as we went round the sites so either have tips ready or be prepared to say no with no shame. Thanks again guys!
