We were very lucky to have Esther from windmillgirltours (on FB as hollandwindmillgirltours) as our guide in Amsterdam to view tulips and windmills. She was raised in a windmill and her parents still own and operate one. She has a delightful personality and extensive knowledge about windmills and the various products that they produce. We were treated with a tour of her family’s windmill. We also toured a goat cheese factory and a demo of making wooden shoes. We did visit Keukenhof Spring Gardens to see a plethora of tulips and other flowers but she was kind enough to drive us by several fields of daffodils, tulips and hyacinths in bloom - what a sight of rows upon rows of yellow, pink and purple! She was amazing!
