Enjoy a full day trip to Mnemba Island with one of our traditional Dhows. Mnemba Island is a small island located outside the northeast coast of Zanzibar. The Island is famous for its crystal clear water and astounding coral reefs that have a wide variety of corals, sea stars and fish species.

We start the trip at 09.00. On the way to Mnemba there is a high chance to see dolphins and you are free to jump in and swim with them. When we reach Mnemba you will be snorkeling in the beautifully corals and around a lot of colorful fishes while we prepare the seafood & chicken BBQ lunch. Water and soft drinks included. Before going back, you will also jump off on the sandbank if the tide is low. On the way back you will enjoy a relaxing time on the boat with fresh seasonal fruits while we raise up the sailing and sail all the way back to Zanzibar during the beautifully sunset.

The booking was extremely seamless, Julia is friendly, forthcoming and efficient. We decided to take one of their smaller dhows privately. The boat was authentic, comfortable, had plenty of space and plenty of much needed shade to lounge as we were a crew of three and us two. The ride to the side was pleasant, the snorkling itself was a 7 out of 10 as it was crowded with +10 boats all in one spot and in other spots just as many boats chasing a poor pod of dolphins. This of course is outside of the tour operators control. The water was very clear and we did see plenty of fish, some very interesting and colourful. Not an amazing variety and not much coral left though. The lunch they served was fresh and plentiful, especially the veggies, rice and salad very delcious. There was a good choice of drinks and we were spoiled with snacks and fresh fruit throughout the day. I didn't like the fact, that they did all the dishes with dishwasher soap in the sea on top of the reef, that seemed just wrong and certainly not sustainable. I hope they read this and re-think, given their sustainability claims. Our favourite part of the day was sailing back, without engine into the setting sun. ure bliss. All in all a great day, friendly and professional crew, money and time well spend. We will come back.

We went on a dhow trip to Mnemba Island and it was absolutely amazing! The whole experience was perfectly organized — the crew was so professional, friendly, and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. The food on board was delicious (fresh and beautifully prepared!), and the views were just incredible — turquoise waters, white sand, and vibrant marine life everywhere. It was such a memorable day and one of the highlights of our time in Zanzibar. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and great service!

The crew was very nice, the typical Zanzibar boat was brand new and Lea cooked on board was delicious. We saw the dolphins, swam among the fish. Despite the rainy weather, it was a very nice day.

Fantastic day with white sandbanks, wonderful swimming and snorkeling. The boat is cozy furnished with lovely pillows. The staff were very nice and did everything to make sure we had a nice day. The food was also divine and the sailing home was so relaxing. A day to remember. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our trip on a traditional Dhow to Mnemba! The water at the sandbank where we stopped was crystal clear and absolutely beautiful. The team made sure we were well fed (extremely delicious BBQ lunch) and taken care off. It was an amazing experience and would recommend everyone to book with Dream Dhow of you find yourself in Zanzibar 😍😊

This excursion is absolutely fantastic! We booked the boat privately for 6 women and a child at a price which was more than reasonable for the experience. First of all the boat crew of 3 were brilliant and very hard working. They were attentive but not overbearing and gave us pleanty of space while making sure we had everything we needed. They communicated really well about the places we were visiting and what we were doing next and were especially kind and helpful as we had a young child with us. They mean it when they so no dolphin chase, they told us before we set sail that’s not we are going to do as it is not safe for the dolphins and having later passed by the dolphin chase to get to our destination we were equally glad not to be a part of it. We did get to see them and we respected them from a distance. We stopped at a reef for snorkelling equipment and life jackets were provided. Lunch was really lovely and varied. They catered for one of our guests who was vegan. There were plenty of snacks and drinks on board. We anchored down at the sandbank and enjoyed the ocean for a couple of hours. It was really chilled out and relaxed. We ended the day by sailing back to the beach for sunset. Wonderful day out and I would 100% do it again (as would all of my fellow travellers) with Dream Dhow when we go back to Zanzibar!

We had the best day on the dhow, with snorkeling, dolphins, great lunch and finally an amazing sunset by the beach! Great personell with a professional approach to the sea and animals.

This was an amazing trip, couldn't have been any better. Guides were awesome and flexible with what we wanted to do. Also they were very respectful of the dolphins, while the othe othe guides were chasing them our guides were respectful and left area but made sure to come back later without all the other boats around. Beautiful boat and great food.
