The tour starts in the morning or afternoon at the Bath Abbey in the city center, where you will meet your guide and begin with a string of sites including Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey, the site of the coronation of the first King of England in 973. You then proceed to the first highlight of the tour, the Roman Baths. Your guide will lead the group into the Baths (if option selected) to see the fascinating items and legacies left in Bath by the Romans during their occupation of the area, and to witness the miraculous phenomenon of Bath's hot geothermal springs. In the second half of the tour, you will also take in the enchanting Georgian architecture of this charming town. From the magnificent Royal Crescent to the mysterious Circus, you see the best of the pomp and luxury of the 18th century. We proceed from the central Pump Rooms to the lavish Upper Assembly Rooms and, finally, arrive at the sumptuous Royal Crescent and the mysterious Circus, Bath offers a stunning variety of breathtaking architectural gems. The tour has been specially devised to show you the very best of the Bath. The guides are fun, engaging local professionals who will make the city’s history truly accessible for visitors of all ages. They are not going to throw a list of dates and facts at you. The guides know their stuff, but they also know how to explain it without putting you to sleep.

John was a wonderful tour guide! Lovely to hear stories from him about Bath and followed his recommendations! I recommend getting the tickets with the Roman Bath Tour since there's a tiny surprise inside the Baths😅

Absolutely fabulous tour of Georgian Bath. George (Georgian George as he became known) is a very knowledgeable, local, guide and was a wonderful introduction to the city and its history. HIs ability to distill large periods of history into its more simple to understand timeline was a highlight and we felt we saw much of the more "hidden" parts of Bath rather than just the main street. The Roman Baths (the end of the trip) was quite incredible to see and the fact something so old is so well preserved is a treat for any visitor. If you are wanting to see Bath, to understand its history and to spend time with a very personable and friendly guide, we would recommend this tour and George as the guide in particular!

The Bath walking tour was part of a surprise birthday present for my girlfriend, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for both of us. Our tour guide, John, was professional, very kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so many insights about the city that we would never have discovered on our own. There is always so much we don’t know about a place we’re visiting for the first time, and having someone who helps you notice the details that would otherwise go unseen makes a huge difference. We truly had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour.

John was a great tour guide, he answered all our weird and wonderful questions very knowledgeably and even with this being my second visit to Bath, The Abbey and the Baths, I learned new things and saw parts of the city I hadn’t seen before. Highly recommended, especially since we had a nice dry day in the middle of winter!

Very nice walk. The guide was excellent and always present with the group. He shared the history of Bath with very interesting curiosities. The city of Bath is beautiful.

We met Oscar at the entrance to the Abbey, and he was easy to identify. He was clearly knowledgeable about Bath. He explained the different stages of the Abbey's construction and why the Saints were the way they are. We then walked around the different parts of Bath. We had watched some travel programs prior to our visit to get ourselves familiar to Bath and allowed us to corroborate some of Oscar's narrative. Oscar told us so much more about Bath and how it was developed by a relatively small group of people. This was a very enjoyable and informative tour of Bath and we learnt so much more than we would have if we just walked around. After the tour we went into the Roman Baths and Pump room. Very enjoyable tour with an informative guide.
