The tour starts in the morning or afternoon at the Bath Abbey in the city center, where you will meet your guide and begin with a string of sites including Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey, the site of the coronation of the first King of England in 973. You then proceed to the first highlight of the tour, the Roman Baths. Your guide will lead the group into the Baths (if option selected) to see the fascinating items and legacies left in Bath by the Romans during their occupation of the area, and to witness the miraculous phenomenon of Bath's hot geothermal springs. In the second half of the tour, you will also take in the enchanting Georgian architecture of this charming town. From the magnificent Royal Crescent to the mysterious Circus, you see the best of the pomp and luxury of the 18th century. We proceed from the central Pump Rooms to the lavish Upper Assembly Rooms and, finally, arrive at the sumptuous Royal Crescent and the mysterious Circus, Bath offers a stunning variety of breathtaking architectural gems. The tour has been specially devised to show you the very best of the Bath. The guides are fun, engaging local professionals who will make the city’s history truly accessible for visitors of all ages. Easy to find rep as had an umbrella and was stood outside the abbey. Great tour guide George who was very entertaining. What I would say is the Roman Baths tickets are straight after the tour and time is not negotiable. After a 2 hour walk around Bath I needed a break and there was no opportunity as we had a time slot. I would definitely book the tour but maybe book the roman bath separately. Both are worth doing.

Jamie provided an absolutely delightful tour with his thorough knowledge of Bath history and culture, so many interesting anecdotes about its unique architecture and famous citizens and visitors over the years, seemingly all there is to know or anybody would want to know and should know about Bath. And he delivered all this with an infectious energy, also a keen sense of humor and wit; and an unexpected bonus, with Hollywood good looks as well! And because Jamie was so personally attentive to my questions and extraordinarily patient when I needed him to repeat or review things he had already said and often more than once, it felt as if I had my own private 1-1 Tour Guide - Many thanks, Jamie!
