Enjoy the therapies of our Volcanic SPA
On this tour, you will be in contact with nature in a unique experience on a active volcano and wild lakes.
Depart from your hotel and journey along the south coast of São Miguel before heading towards the Furnas Valley to experience its dramatic volcanic landscape.
* The number of people and the itinerary can be customized upon request. Feel free to message me to discuss further.
We will start with a photo stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for a great shots to the volcanic crater, followed by a soak at D. beija hot springs.
You will have the benefit of having a genuine local tour guide that will do all the driving for you while doing a story telling of the island.

5.00We had such a wonderful experience on this private tour! Gabrielle was incredibly charismatic and knowledgeable, sharing so many interesting stories and insights about the island that really brought it to life. It was the perfect way to start our time on Sao Miguel. It was relaxed, engaging, and a great introduction after a day of travel. The pace was just right, allowing us to unwind while still seeing beautiful sights and learning about local culture. Given the timing of the tour, I think adding a dinner stop at a local restaurant would make it even better. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island!

5.00Gabriel was a great guide. Knowledgable and fun. He grew up on the island so could tell us a lot about the culture and the area. The Thermal baths were in a beautiful setting and was very relaxing. The town of Furnas was a quaint and fascinating place to walk around. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience

5.00We had such a great time at the thermal baths! It was so relaxing!! Our guide, Gabriel, was very knowledgeable, friendly and super interesting! We were heading to the mainland for a few more stops after Sao Miguel, and he even gave us information/recommendations for those stops! He was very organized and communicative from start to finish! Cannot say enough great things about him! This was definitely one of our highlights on the island. Thank you!!

5.00Our experience was absolutely spectacular, thanks to our exceptional guide, Gabrielle! Every moment was beautifully planned and filled with incredible sights and rich local insights. Starting at the breathtaking Miradouro Pico Do Ferro, we soaked in the stunning views of Furnas Lake, surrounded by lush greenery and volcanic landscapes. Gabrielle shared fascinating stories about the geology and volcanic activity that shapes this unique island. Next, we relaxed at a thermal pool enjoying the rejuvenating thermal waters known for their numerous health benefits—it was a soothing and unforgettable experience. Gabrielle also introduced us to the delightful local tradition of "Cozido das Furnas," a delicious stew cooked using natural geothermal heat in Furnas village - we learning all about how it was made and what made it so special...you will have to ask him all about this. Visiting Lagoa das Furnas and the striking Caldeira das Furnas allowed us to witness the island's volcanic heritage firsthand, complete with steaming vents and captivating geological features. Throughout the day, Gabrielle's enthusiasm, kindness, and extensive knowledge made every stop magical and engaging. We genuinely felt like we were exploring with a dear friend, not just a guide. Thank you, Gabrielle, for making this tour such a memorable highlight of our trip—truly 10 out of 10!
