Enter a diver’s paradise on this 3 to 4-hour Scuba diving beginner's session in Costa Adeje. Tenerife’s warm, calm waters and year-round diving make it the perfect spot for your first dive. Swim in an area known for tropical fish, rays, and sea turtles. Your course includes a safety briefing, shallow-water practice of some simple skills, and a roughly 45-minute open water dive to a maximum depth of 39 feet (12 meters). Your personal dive instructor will remain close by your side throughout the course.

Start your scuba diving adventure with pick-up from your South Tenerife hotel and relax on the journey to the Ocean Trek dive school in Costa Adeje. After meeting with your guide, zip up your wetsuit, strap on your oxygen tank and head out into shallow waters to begin your lesson. With an expert instructor at your side, learn basic diving techniques and safety maneuvers, including cleaning your mask and how to descend and ascend. Once you feel ready, it’s time to set sail for the open seas and try out your newfound skills for real. Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll dive up to 39 feet (12 meters) and swim amid an array of colorful corals and exotic fish. If you’re lucky, you might even spot rays and sea turtles during your 45-minute dive. Back on dry land, your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel. Please plan your dive so that you are not allowed to fly within 12 hours of your dive.

3.00Me and my partner had fun for the most part, the Ukrainian guy there was 10/10 no complaints the other gentleman was a bit impatient I can not recall his name, the masks were having issues suctioning to my face and kept letting sea water in the mask up to the eyeballs which caused me to have to go back up to the surface after 20 mins of this the other guy we were with (not the Ukrainian guy) the guy got frustrated and took my partner away rather than staying in the group as was originally planned but she enjoyed it and that's what I care about more than anything I just snorkelled for the remainder of our session which was okay, you do have to walk from a car park to the sea with your equipment on which my partner couldn't do which wasn't an issue as the Ukrainian guy carried it however I walked it over as I was capable but by the time you get to the water you are trying to catch your breath, granted I am a bigger guy however I do weight train however by time I got to the water I was fatigued then getting in the sea water its obviously quite cold which made breathing increase more as well so it was difficult to regulate breath once in the water as I was still trying to recover from the short walk over, whether that was me being too chunky for my own good or an issue with the experience up for debate but also the fact my partner couldn't carry the BCD and oxygen over to the water and she genuinely is fit as a fiddle and struggled. we were lucky enough for it to be just us which made the experience better but I would potentially advise taking Vaseline if you have a short beard to assist with suction. overall i would give a 6.5 out of ten.

4.00Great staff and great experience overall. The reason it only gets 4 out of 5 stars is because there is too much information. Understandable why, as it could be a dangerous activity, but it gives you a feeling of danger and overwhelm before you even go inside the ocean. I had done it once before and there was less information, which had made it a much more fun and enjoyable experience. P.S. if you are a beginner diver, they will not let you bring your own action camera. Photos will cost you €30 extra

4.00Interesting variety of fish from cuttlefish to trumpet fish. Brian was a good calm and informative instructor for first time divers. Was difficult to get correct size equipment for all 5 of us.

5.00This was our first diving experience. The diving school picked us up from the hotel and brought us back, which was very convenient. The wetsuits fit us perfectly. In the beginning we had theory, our guide explained everything calmly and in detail. The diving equipment has been professionally and quickly adjusted by our guide. On the beach before we went deep, we practiced the most important thing in the shallow water. When we were sure of the deeper water we went in piece by piece. We felt safe with our guide, in case of problems you always had a quick solution. We ran into some nice fish and a little squid. They took a lot of beautiful pictures, it was a very great first experience. Thanks to the team!

5.00Without doubt one of the best life experiences ive ever had My instructor gerhard and his team were amazing and totally professional Even when I was slightly nervous on first entering the sea gerhard literally held my hand for a few moments until I was confident enough to experience what I can only describe as another world I can't recommend this trip enough and im now looking to do a more advanced level back home so I can go a little bit deeper Big tip would be definitely have photos as a extra 30 euros really well spent and i haven't stopped looking at mine Absolutely brilliant memory and will definitely be rebooking when i return to tenerife nxt year 👏
