Sugarloaf Mountain
Your skip-the-line ticket is valid for any departure time on the day of your visit. Cable cars run every 20 minutes from morning to night, and can accommodate 65 people. It takes three minutes to go up to the first mountain, Morra da Urca, and an additional three minutes to reach the summit. Your ticket is valid for any returning cable car and you can spend as much time as you want at the top.

5.00The Skip, the Line ticket is well worth the money. other than that, the ticket price can be easily reduced by buying through the hotel Concierge.

3.00Long day. Something to do. Lunch was provided, not your beverage. Soda was about $3.00 usd, water was $1. 00 usd. Lots of walking, and unusual stops.

5.00Well worth paying the extra to skip the long queue, which included a free bottle of water. No preferential treatment on the way down, but that's not a problem.

5.00Saved us almost 2 hours of waiting time! We went at 5:30pm peak time for sunset view. There are 2 lines to go up and 2 down, about 30min each, so two hours waiting time. With fast pass we zipped right through, well worth it.

4.00Please don’t anybody for a second be put off by this review, I just wanted to post it to get it off my chest personally really, you will have a life changing time here and in the city. The place is extraordinary and is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately I have a gripe about one of the staff members in the ticket office. Whilst I fully respect that my lack of Portuguese is completely disrespectful of me in native Portuguese speaking country, I don’t appreciate at all his response to me asking Fala ingles?, when I had already heard him talking to the previous couple in English. For him to then say Oh no and hold his head in his hand, before proceeding to turn his microphone off and turn to the other staff on the counter laughing and gesturing I absolutely do not appreciate. I’m not even saying they were laughing and gesturing at me but it certainly felt like it and even if they weren’t I think his behaviour was disrespectful non the less. I wouldn’t ever normally complain about staff, but for me as a solo traveller over 5 and a half thousand miles from my home and in South America for the first time it massively knocked my confidence and did in fact quite upset me. I appreciate the young chap was only having a bit of fun and I don’t want to get anything out of this other than to make them aware that when you have a young traveller abroad alone a long way from home a little unkind action can have a really large effect on the other person.
