Morning pickup is 6:45–8:00AM year-round. Afternoon pickup: 12:45 PM (May–Oct) or 1:30 PM (Nov–Mar). Times may vary by location.
Stay alert for the vibrant wildlife that inhabits the park! While exploring, you might catch a glimpse of cuatis, monkeys, toucans, turtles, frogs, and even sloths. Who knows what surprises nature has in store for you?
The trails range from easy to moderate, with some elevation to reach caves and waterfalls, so basic physical conditioning is recommended. All waterfalls have crystal-clear natural water from the park’s pristine basins.

Tip: We recommend booking on weekdays for a quieter experience and a higher chance of spotting wildlife. However, if the weekend is your only option, don’t worry—you’ll still enjoy an amazing tour!
Wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed since animals roam freely and are influenced by weather, time of day, and season.
Tour duration may be affected by traffic, especially in a busy city like Rio, where congestion can sometimes extend the tour time. We STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST booking on days with important commitments (flights, tours, etc.) as delays are possible. Morning tours typically offer a smoother experience.
Itinerary is subject to change based on various factors such as the park's regulations, prevailing natural conditions, and the physical capabilities of the group.
From May to October, reduced rainfall can impact the flow of certain waterfalls, affecting the itinerary. Please note that photos are for reference only and may reflect conditions during the wetter months.
Rainy weather does not affect the scheduled tour of the forest, which is known to be more enchanting and lively during such weather. The waterfalls are more magnificent and the chances of spotting wild animals increase during rainfall. Visitors are guaranteed a safe and unforgettable experience in the forest, regardless of the weather conditions.

Our initial destination is Mirante das Canoas, a stunning viewpoint offering vistas of the Pedra da Gavea and Pedra Bonita mountains, as well as the Sao Conrado neighborhood. Following a brief stop, we'll proceed directly to Tijuca Park, just 15 minutes away.

5.00The tour was so good. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the forest and everything. He was so sweet. The hike itself is moderate. A lot of walking. You will be tired at the end but ga beautiful and worth it.

5.00An exciting experience, tiring but worth it. I was with my friends, during the climb we laughed a lot and the final view is something that you carry in your heart. Our guide was Italian a girl who puts passion, warmth, professionalism, attention, takes care of the whole group and the surrounding nature. Highly recommended!

5.00Absolutely enjoyable short forest trip. Henrique was great with the descriptions and guiding us through the forest and bat cave. Saw a couple of toucans. This was the highlight of our trip. Henrique was flexible and we did not feel any time crunch. He picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back. Will recommend.

5.00This was a great experience! Great way to see wildlife in Rio for sure, only other place I ran into animals was the botanical gardens. But here there were optional and mandatory caves (I went for them all), a couple of monkeys, and a family of coatis! Eric was a great guide, fully prepared to get the best pics from the best angles and to humorously walk you through the history of the area and the knowledge of the soil, biodiversity, and ecosystem! I truly enjoyed this tour!

5.00Our guide Lucas was great. He pointed out some wildlife and told us about some of the flora and fauna. It was a bit strenuous at one point but well worth it once you get to the cave.

5.00Beautiful, informative tour, with our friendly, knowledgeable guide Eric! Everything went smooth. My wife loved it so much as well! The only regret is that we couldn't see animals which is not the tour's fault!

5.00An unforgettable experience in Tijuca National Park with Eduardo The tour through the Tijuca tropical rainforest with Eduardo was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and full of great energy. We explored the lush jungle, encountered a whole gang of monkeys along the way, and learned so much thanks to Eduardo’s amazing stories about the history of Rio and the rich nature surrounding the city. His knowledge and passion really brought the forest to life. The experience included hiking through a cave, visiting beautiful waterfalls, and enjoying breathtaking scenery at every step. The atmosphere was wonderful — energetic, relaxed, and full of humor, which made the group feel comfortable and connected. Eduardo also took excellent photos throughout the tour and made sure everyone felt safe and well taken care of. We returned home safely and tired in the best possible way. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rio who wants to experience nature, adventure, and great vibes all in one day. Best regards, Dariusz from Poland!

5.00The rainforest in question is beautiful. My tour guide, Eduardo, and his cohort leading another group knew a wealth of knowledge about Rio and the surrounding areas. Make sure to ask them for acai and restaurant recommendations. They ensured that everyone got the pictures that they wanted and that everyone got out safely. I do recommend bringing big spray though.
