Put your snowshoes on and walk with into a white powder paradise where there are no trails and it's simply miles and miles of powdery wilderness in front of you. You'll access the beautiful winter backcountry with a professional guide the way the Rockies are meant to be experienced - as a mix of fun, challenge, and learning, combined with the simple enjoyment of being outside in nature.

The WMA Snowshoeing on Top of the World program takes place in backcountry alpine terrain and presents serious safety risks for any person not dressed properly or sufficiently fit to complete the entire walk. Once a group leaves the top chairlift station, and begins walking downhill, there is no turning back for the group. Therefore:
Warm hat and gloves required
Winter coat required
Warm pants required – not jeans
Winter boots or hiking boots required
Guests must be reasonably fit and able to walk at least 3 kilometres on snowshoes through potentially deep powder snow.
Minimum age to participate is 12 years old

5.00Exceptional in every way. An experience you will never forget. It’s quite full on if you’ve never done something like this before (like us!), but so worth it. Incredible views, and falling in the snow is actually great fun. Our guides Michael and Josh were so great - helpful, informative, fun, and really patient with us oldies (who were a bit slow!). An exhilarating once in a lifetime experience.

5.00Snowshoeing with our fabulous guide Alina was outstanding! It was the best part of my time spent in Canmore/ Banff . She had little tidbits of knowledge that kept the adventure interesting on the geological history of the area! She was helpful, pleasant and a fabulous guide! This was my second return to do this activity last year our activity was with Meghan which was also an equally as knowledgeable! The views from the continental divide are so Snow White and majestic! I’ll return again for another repeat of this tour!

5.00Cindy was wonderful! It was a fun, off-the-trail, private trek. Cindy was highly knowledgeable and super pleasant throughout the experience. We would highly recommend the snowshoe trek!

5.00I was worried whether I’d be able to do this having never snowshoed before! But it was a fantastic experience and I definitely burned some calories. It was snowing on the day we did it, so whilst there were no blue skies it was all the more magical. Highly recommend.

5.00I booked a snowshoeing tour at Sunshine Village. When I was picked up, the guide told me I could not go on the tour because I didn’t have the right pants . I had a base wicking and warmth layer, a mid layer for more warmth and an outer layer that was both wind resistant and water repellent. The guide was adamant and nasty enjoying the power trip of denying me on the van. Personally, I think it was age discrimination as I am over 65. I was so angry and disappointed (it was a beautiful sunny day) the whole day was ruined as no time to book another outing. Fortunately, I was able to go on another day. Our guide, Josh, was great as was the woman at the downtown office. The tour was a wonderful, unique experience with knee-deep snow (I fell the least of everyone so the guide should not have misjudged my abilities) and great views. There were only 4 of us on top of the world with not a sole in sight. My only wish was that is was longer.

5.00First and foremost i have to say Big Thank you to the company for being able to reschedule our tour at the very last minute. We were not properly equipped- which was our fault and therefore could not attend the tour at our original booking. They went above and beyond to make our tour happen next day . Tour itself is an amazing experience and a must for everyone.

5.00Absolutely amazing snowshoe tour! Our guide was 10/10. Learnt so much about local wildlife and weather systems, saw amazing views, tonnes of back-country powder snow, and even got snowed on. Can’t rate this tour high enough, we had such a great time!

4.00It is very difficult if never done, and you will fall a lot, which was okay, but I moved slow as I was afraid to get injured and missed all the comments the guide was sharing with the group
