Trou aux Cerfs
Begin your 8 hours tour with a hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our guide & after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range.
Grand Bassin
Then, drive to Ganga Talao which is a crater lake, about 550 meters above sea level. On the shoreline sits a temple along with a collection of small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and other gods. During your visit to this site, you will inevitably be awestruck by the gigantic statue of Lord Shiva. However, fear not about your doom, at Grand Bassin you will find the Hindu God Lord Shiva, smiling and as peaceful as ever. The statue is 33 meters high & is the highest known statue in Mauritius. Ganga Talao is a major draw of crowds in Mauritius, with many people visiting the site to pray, meditate, or simply to walk by the lake and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views. The lake of Ganga Talao is thought to be around 18 meters deep with a healthy population of fish in the lake.

We were a group of 4 people. I booked tour in Ukraininan language, however our guide had no idea about that. So, all the time I had to translate. The car was a kind of compact sedan and sitting all time 3 adult people in the back seat was not really comfortable. The guide was OK. So, I you booked your tour in other language than English or French, I might not get it. Complain to Viator resulted in several different responses from different their staff. One said you had your tour and that's it. Another said, we give your some reasonable compensation. However there was no any further action ))))

Had Daren as a guide and he was excellent as well as being a safe driver. Sadly the weather was against us (rained on & off all day) and we couldn’t go to a couple of sites due to road closure. But was still an enjoyable trip

This was good and well organised but for me felt rushed. They have listed the stops and time spent there but in some cases we would barely have 20 minutes. The fast driving is also a little nerve wracking if youre not used to it. I was left feeling underwhelmed at the end of the day. Considering the price I expected a higher quality experience. Bear in mind there is a hidden cost for the nature valley as the free walking tour takes too long for the time restriction you have so you have to take the buggy or quad bike which is an extra charge. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the nature valley and crocodile park and lunch was very nice. My preference is just to take things in at a slower pace and to walk around and explore a little more.

We had a great day visiting the south West. We had a very knowledgeable guide, and he told us lots of facts about the island on the way around. The crocodile park was the highlight of our trip

Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the coverage of the tour for the price was good. But nothing was particularly standout or felt like the guide gave us a wow experience so bit of an average day. Also, lunch food was okay, but the service was terrible and felt like we were a burden for asking basic questions
