In this 8 hours private tour, you will explore the Southwest of Mauritius including a visit to Grand Bassin to see the Hindu Temple & the gigantic statue of Lord Shiva.
Then head to Alexandra Falls to see the view of the south, waterfall & its dense valley. Next, head to Gorge Viewpoint to see the panoramic view of the flora & fauna which is the "lung of Mauritius".
Next, you'll see the scenic route to visit the Twenty Three Colored Earth which is unique because of its multi-colored sand. Next, continue to Chamouny waterfall which is undoubtedly the beautiful single-drop waterfall.
Later, you will enjoy a 3-course lunch and continue to visit the Dormant Volcano, Trou Aux Cerfs which is a highly popular attraction.
Then drive to Gris-Gris which is popular for its sea cliffs & finally visit the Crocodile Park which is home to various species of animals, reptiles & plants set in a beautiful rainforest valley.

Trou aux Cerfs
Begin your 8 hours tour with a hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our guide & after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range.
Grand Bassin
Then, drive to Ganga Talao which is a crater lake, about 550 meters above sea level. On the shoreline sits a temple along with a collection of small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and other gods. During your visit to this site, you will inevitably be awestruck by the gigantic statue of Lord Shiva. However, fear not about your doom, at Grand Bassin you will find the Hindu God Lord Shiva, smiling and as peaceful as ever. The statue is 33 meters high & is the highest known statue in Mauritius. Ganga Talao is a major draw of crowds in Mauritius, with many people visiting the site to pray, meditate, or simply to walk by the lake and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views. The lake of Ganga Talao is thought to be around 18 meters deep with a healthy population of fish in the lake.

3.00The tour program was very good. Unfortunately, we expected a qualified tour – someone to accompany us and explain the sights. Instead, it felt more like we just booked a taxi: The driver took us to the locations and waited in the car while we toured. In addition, he sometimes drove over 190 km/h, which really scared us. The tour program was very good. However, we expected a qualified tour guide who would accompany us and explain the sights. Instead, it felt more like we had just booked a taxi — the driver only dropped us off and waited in the car. In addition, he drove over 190 km/h at times, which made us feel very unsafe.

5.00Manav was absolutely flawless — attentive, informative, and so friendly throughout our tour. We managed to see so much, and he even bought snacks for the children, which was such a thoughtful touch! 😍 He took plenty of photos for us as a family and made sure we were never rushed. Although we couldn’t fit in all the sights in one day, Manav went above and beyond by organising an extra morning tour (for a small charge) so we could visit the places we’d missed. La Vanella Croc Park and the 23 Coloured Sands were fantastic, and the tea field tasting was an unexpected treat. Our children loved seeing the monkeys, pigs, chickens, tortoises, and crocodiles — it was a real highlight for them! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Manav, for making our trip so special!
Great way to see otherwise unseen parts of the island.

4.00Our tour guide, Sahil, was very knowledgable. Unfortunately there was heavy rain when we went on this tour - so not all things were possible (mainly views from the various view points). But Sahil did his best to re-arrange the day around the weather. The lunch was basic - and could be improved.
Well organised and thoroughly enjoyable experience!

5.00We weren't lucky with the weather today but you can't ever control that! While it hindered our views of a couple of the locations, the 2 main attractions of 23 coloured earth and crocodile park were brilliant! In fact the bad weather meant we were the only people walking around the 23 colour park which was superb! The lunch was very tasty and the wonderful taxi driver; Daren, ensured we saw one of the spectacular views before lunch as he could see the rain was coming back in. Daren was superb all day. He answered all our questions and even went out of his way for a little extra stop we asked for. His car was very clean and comfortable and he provided a much needed bottle of water for us both. I highly recommend this tour company and, from our point of view, if you get Daren as your driver it's a bonus :)

5.00The trip was fantastic and a great day experience. The parks, driver (Avi) and lunch were all top class and I would thoroughly recommend. However, had we had more information on what was available at Vali Park (23 colours earth) we would have been better prepared. There are quaud bikes and zip wire experiences to buy but you need to be prepared as the cost is not included. Do some research beforehand.
