Christoff was a great host and guide throughout our boat ride. He had a small comfortable boat with tables and chairs, greeted everyone warmly, served delicious and plentiful appetizers with good wine, and took his time answering questions and sharing information about all that we saw along the beautiful ride. Very well done and worth the time and money.

I arrived 5 minutes prior to the commencement of the tour. When I arrived, I immediately showed the tour guide my confirmed booking that I received via email. He said to get onboard as we needed to leave soon, but to show him later the ticket/voucher with the QR code as proof of my confirmed booking. I complied. As I sat down, he immediately offered wine and snacks, but I didn’t touch them yet. I was still trying to generate the ticket from the link on the Viator app which was apparently not working. I kept on trying to generate the ticket only to surrender later on because I would’ve wanted to be in the moment and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake. I asked him if maybe he could refer to my booking reference and check with their office regarding the legitimacy of my booking, as I would like to listen to his stories and enjoy the scenery. I think he got irritated so quickly that he then started raising his voice at me. I was shocked and embarrassed as there was also other the people in that boat. He emphasized that out of the eight thousand people that joined his tour before, I was the only one who had this issue. I responded that the app wasn’t working, I was even showing him my phone, he just wouldn’t listen and would interrupt my explanations. I felt unwelcome, not only in that boat ride but also in “his country”, as he said. If there was only a way to get out of that boat, I would have exited already but we were in the middle of the lake. Also, it’s not as if I didn’t pay for the experience, I paid fair and square. Is this how you treat your customers? I, myself, work in a customer service/hospitality industry, I would never embarrass any of my customers no matter what the situation. I would listen and empathize. I realized that dealing with the tour guide was ineffective, even when I was professional and firm, he was extremely rude. So, I tried to contact Swiss tour but they were unresponsive. Then I managed to contact Viator and asked them to send me a new link for my ticket. This all happened during the majority of the time we were doing the tour. finally, I managed to generate a ticket and he took a photo of it and calmed down as if nothing happened. He even told me sarcastically to “enjoy”. How could I enjoy after all the stress he caused me? And what else will I enjoy? When we’re only 15minutes down to the end of the tour. It was pointless booking this tour after all, I really regret it. Later on, after that horrifying experience, the tour agency finally responded and explained that there was a lag between the tour guide’s final list of customers. He was not updated. But it wasn’t my fault that they didn’t inform him about the last minute changes or additions of customers. Besides, I booked the tour 2hours prior to its commencement, they had ample amount of time to do the updating and finalizing. This is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I totally regret coming in to this tour. I will never book any tour from this agency, especially with this boat Captain/tour guide.

Good experience (eventually) We missed our allotted time due to being unable to find correction location. Instructions from Viator were vague and misleading and despite asking several local people no one seemed to be able to help. Found guide eventually and he was initially unwilling or unable to help saying he was fully booked for the rest of the day. Told us we were the only ones who could not find him ( ever) but then no one out of 11 people arrived for the next booking and we ended up with the boat to ourselves. He then couldn’t have been more helpful, gave us wine, snacks and told us some interesting things about the local area. Overall it was a good experience but allow plenty of time to find the place.

Very fun boat ride! Great snacks and very good wine. We rode around the lake for an hour and got a very good overview of the city
