Explore Tahiti on a half-day exploration on the coast of your choice. Depending on your preferences, opt for the wilder, greener East Coast or the West Coast, famous for its beaches and spectacular sunsets. If you choose the East Coast, you will be immersed in a wilderness where the mountains flow into the ocean. You will discover the mythical Point Venus and its historic lighthouse, the impressive cliffs sculpted by wind and waves, and the peaceful waterfalls hidden in the heart of tropical vegetation. If you opt for the West Coast, the journey will take you along white sandy beaches and crystal clear lagoons. Stop at the Maraa Caves, mysterious cavities surrounded by greenery, at the Tahiti Museum (optional), then continue to the famous surf spots, where the waves come to embrace the reef with power. And finally, you will end up with the Vahipai Water Garden.

5.00We enjoyed the very leisurely drive around Tahiti with Yo-Yo our driver. If you go on a Monday, the golf course restaurant is short staffed with limited menu. There is no real time to swim or snorkel unless you let the driver know your wishes ahead of time. Then all activities are possible.

1.00Don’t waste your money. I paid extra for a private tour and they had other people on the tour. The taxi driver was a great taxi driver and very personable but he was a terrible tour guide. No explanations or interesting facts about the different sights. I would not recommend.

5.00Phillip was excellent driver and guided of the tour! His BMW car is new, luxury and very comfortable! We enjoyed his company, his knowledge of the island and his experience 🙏

2.00Owner Philippe was unavailable but contracted out our tour with Tevei, who was a nice person but hardly more than a driver. He dropped us off at sight locations and collected us after we walked around on our own. His van was unfortunately set up with one deep rear seat and another high-backed seat that faced the rear. This blocked both the air conditioning (for which he substituted small fans) and made conversation with the driver almost impossible. We had questions about the sites, population, economy, etc. that were beyond Tevei’s ability to discuss. We got nice pictures of many places but paid nearly $500 USD just for 5 hours of being driven around with little more than light conversation. Sorry, but this tour didn’t live up to expectations.
