Parking:
There is a free municipal city parking lot at 112 W. Flaget St., Bardstown, KY 40004, across from Scout & Scholar Brewery. There is also free street parking on 3rd Street.
The Taste of Bardstown Tour is about one mile long and lasts about three hours.
Must be 21+ to participate.

The only brewery in the city of Bardstown. Named in honor, after William and David Bard. The land known as Bardstown today was granted to David Bard by the governor of Virginia. Originally named Salem, Settlement began in the 1770s. In 1780 William Bard, David's brother, laid out Bardstown on the site. It became the county seat when Nelson county, Virginia was formed in 1784. Here you will trying Kentucky beer cheese, with pretzels and on top of loaded nachos; paired with Scouts top selling beer Ol’ Buddy.
Talbott Tavern
Built in 1779 and located at the crossroads of the young west. The Tavern has Offered hospitality to anyone who finds their stoop. Such as Jessie James and King Louie Phillippe! Here you will be trying a southern delicacy, fried green tomatoes. Paired with 1792 single barrel whiskey, hand selected by the Tavern!

5.00Tour was done very well, including history of Bardstown, and each of the 4 stops featured both a taste of either beer or bourbon, and plentiful food including delicious pretzel bites with queso, cheese board, gourmet meatball sandwich, and fried green tomatoes. Highly recommend that you start your experience in Bardstown with this tour! Plenty of food for either lunch or dinner. Knowledgeable awesome guide.

5.00Fun and interesting walking tour of some of the highlights of Bardstown. Victoria was a great tour guide and lead us on a well paced stroll to four establishments. Each has it's own "flavor" and ambiance. Lots of local history and Victoria was able to answer questions. This out second tour with them and it again, did not disappoint. We will definitely do again when we visit next year.

4.00Guide was great and informative but this tour is over priced. Snacks were abundant, almost too much, but drinks were not. For the money I would expect at least full sized beer, not 2 7 oz servings. Bourbon drinks were sufficient. Also, the museum part of the tour was dropped when I went and no advanced notice was given. They did add another stop so not all was lost.
Outstanding and fun food tour! A must do!

5.00We have been on food tours all over the world, in Croatia, Czech Republic, Savannah, Little Havana and now Bardstown, Kentucky. This was the best one! Victoria was delightful as she walked with us around the city, filling us in on many historical places, including stories and tales. The bourbon, beer and food that we sampled were all unique and delicious This is definitely a must do tour!

5.00Excellent, informative and fun experience. I would highly recommend starting your stay in Bardstown with this tour. Lots of local history, a nice way to get a lay of the land and where to eat! Food was delicious and good size portions as well as the beer and bourbon portions. Victoria our guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. We learned so much, got in our steps and our belly’s were full. It was also great seeing the local community at its best.
