Our Night Sky Star Safari is a comprehensive stargazing activity for all. Including drinks at an authentic Canarian restaurant on our way up the mountain and also stopping for an amazing sunset from above the Sea of Clouds, our activity is your introduction to the night sky, stars, and the Universe. It includes the guided use of telescopes for nighttime observation of visible planets, the Moon, stars, galaxies, and more.

Join us as we take a safari trek across the night sky with our lasers, using constellations and detailed explanations of the science and mythology by expert astronomy guides. While in Tenerife, these astronomy tours are an ideal excursion for holidaymakers, taking advantage of Tenerife being one of the best locations in the world for both professional and amateur astronomy. Our aim is that you have fun observing the sky, and we make it easy for you. We hope to give you as many WOW moments as possible!

We stop after pick-ups and a short drive, at one of the local Canarian restaurants. Here you have some drinks and get to converse with the other travelers on the trip. It's a great way to meet new people with a similar interest as you. Also, a great chance to use the facilities before entering the national park!

Because of the bad weather we did not go, Kieran has kept us neatly informed with professional communication. Unfortunately we had to go back home and got our money back within 48 hours. If I go to Tenerife again I will definitely contact this organization again.

As everyone says, this was an excellent trip and we’re so glad we did it. Our guide on the coach, Sonja, was delightful and Kieran and his team were highly organised, incredibly knowledgeable and amusing. They delivered so many amazing bits of info but in a lighthearted and enjoyable way. There were plenty of wow moments but none better than seeing Saturn and its rings. And watching sunset above the clouds is an unforgettable experience. Thank you for all the photos Kieran!

I booked a stargazing experience (self-drive, no dinner) with Night Skies Tenerife for my parents and I. The instructions to get to the meeting point were pretty clear, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset with a glass of cava and then moved on to a dark sky location for the stargazing. Kevin, Craig and the team were excellent at explaining what we could see in the sky and at organising the group to come and look through the telescopes at specific sites. They clearly knew their stuff and were also really helpful about answering questions. Also some great extras like hot chocolate and photos. Minimal suggestions for improvements other than it would be useful to have meeting instructions as soon as the booking is made, it may be worth sharing a what3words location for the start point as well as a Google maps link, and also useful to share the location of the final site to help with journey planning. Would definitely recommend!

After throughly enjoying this excursion in 2023 we returned with our family telling them how brilliant it was. Unfortunately and at no fault of the tour operator there was a calima of sand from the Sahara Desert surrounding the volcano which impacted the sunset. Furthermore, due to the unforeseen circumstances of a weather warning we were unable to ascend to the planned site and had to view the sky from a different area. The light pollution in the area resulted in the sky not being as spectacular as I know it can be. As I said it was at no fault of the tour operator. Thank you to Craig and Kieran for trying their best to make our experience special in the situation that had been presented. It was still amazing to see the stars through the telescope and an extra of looking at the moon close up too.

The staff were lovely and well educated however due to the weather we were unable to do the experience as sold, we ended up in a public car park for the star gazing and sun set, for 3 hours which we could have do for free instead of spending £250, and was not much higher than our villa. In terms of mount Teide this was not even in view which was most disappointing. We understand the weather had impact the access to the national park but this had been the case all week so could have been communicated. Feel like we did not get the experience sold, there was no mention of reimbursement of any costs.

What an experience! We chose the non food version but we still got a free drink at the restaurant which was a nice touch. We then went to the sunset viewing point... Another free drink :) The sunset was amazing and the colours were just like something from a picture. Next stop the stargazing platform. This was literally out of this world, The amount of stars you will see is like nothing else. Craig, Our guide was informative, knowledgeable and funny and explained everything in a way that we understood....Another free drink was offered :) With the milky way seemingly hanging over use we headed back. Amazing!
Stargazing was beautiful albeit a big group!

Stargazing was absolutely incredible. The staff were so knowledgeable and helpful whenever we had questions. I would highly recommend this is youre keen to see stars in a beautiful part of the world. Now the reasons for only 4/5 stars: - There are 60+ on this tour, so it can take time to get around everyone to have a look at the stars. Although we never felt rushed, looking at the stars through the telescopes. This is clear in the reviews, but we didn't really realise how long it would take to finish the experience. - No toilets any further than the restaurant, which is the first stop. You can wild-wee but make sure you're careful if this is going to be an issue for you. - We got the "no food" option but still had to wait for people to finish their food at the restaurant - it would have been nice to be taken up to the first spot when it was time to go to the sunset.

We had a fabulous experience. Everything was carefully planned and thought out. We had lots of wow moments seeing the moon planets and stars through the telescope. There was super explanation about all the constellations to be seen. It was fine not having the meal we had a free coffee. Thank you to everyone especially Sonya who was very kind and helpful and we loved seeing the donkey too! Recommended. Wear lots of warm clothes and gloves are useful.
