Welcome to the only place in Montreal that will teach you how to make Montreal bagels!
Montreal bagels are world famous for their shape, taste and texture. A trip to Montreal isn't complete until you've tried one of these amazing bagels. So why not try your hand at making them yourself? We will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way.
We will start by learning how to properly mix and knead the dough. We will discuss how different flours and water amounts affect the final texture of the dough and crust. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen. You will become a confident baker at home in no time!
We will go step by step from mixing the dough, letting it rest, to shaping the bagels, to boiling them, dressing them with various toppings, baking them and finally eating them!
This workshop is super hands on so this is far from the "Watch the pro" type workshops out there.

5.00This class is so great we've done it twice! You've got to book this if you're heading to Montreal. The instructor is friendly and funny. The class itself is easy - anyone can do it. The bagels are absolutely delicious - I could eat them all day.

5.00It was a fun atmosphere and Will was very chill! I love his method of teaching. I feel like he was an elementary teacher at some point. He does a check-in to start, making sure he knows where everyone is on the hunger and tired scale. He lets you know if you make a mistake it's alright. He's helpful with the process. I would definitely do it again! It was an enjoyable experience for bakers and non bakers alike. (My own personal peeve- Try as hard as you can not be late. He is not bothered by it, but you have yeast and baking involved, being there on time helps the process along. And just know this is from a person consistently late)

5.00Attended the Bagel Class in Montreal after reading all of the reviews. The class did not disappoint. We had an amazing experience learning to make Montreal style bagels. It was interactive and so much fun! I highly recommend this class if you are ever in Montreal.

5.00Will the instructor was great. He was funny, and made bagel making instructions clear. Would have preferred to take the bagels we made ourselves home but understand that coordinating and keeping track of 15 different peoples’s bagels would be difficult and the ones we chose to take home were great tasting.

5.00Fun experience and the instructor was so nice and funny. Easy instructions to follow and worked as a group. You make a total of 3 bagels per person and is able to take home the bagels made afterwards. I highly recommend this activity.
