Whether you do it with a group or solo, you’re going to have a blast. While the stories don’t compare to those of NOLA or Salem, Etta (or whoever your guide is) will do a great job of bringing them to life!

TL; DR: Worst tour I’ve EVER taken - $26 for rambling stories, sales pitches, and random stops. I love a good ghost tour, but this one was rough. We met at a brunch spot and the guide opened with a pitch for the restaurant. From there it was a lot of “a house that used to be here” and “before it flooded it was…” - not legitimately spooky sites we could see or step into. We crossed a parking lot to another brunch place that’s now boarded up, heard an implausible tale about a vet’s office fire, then stood outside a gas station for talk of “creepy dolls” and a “haunted mirror.” No sources, no history, no access - just filler. There was an option to "extend the tour" for an additional $7 per person, and of course the entire group declined at the end of the 1-hr tour that had mercifully just ended. For $26 per person, I expected researched stories and at least one stop that felt atmospheric. Yes, we saw real landmarks like the Fox Theatre and the Georgian Terrace - but the Fox tale was pure fluff and nothing about the Terrace was remotely eerie. We mostly just stood there looking at them on a slow Monday night while the guide prattled on... Ironically, the most interesting thing on the route was watching delivery robots zip up and down the streets. This “tour” had no style, no drama, and no credible history. If you’re looking for chills or credible history, look elsewhere. Also, the "tour guide" told us it's rumored that Wayne Williams of the Atlanta Child Murders took some of the boys he killed to St. Mark United Methodist Church on Peachtree St. and briefly left them there in the basement before he disposed of their bodies. She then went on to say that the church now holds children's services in the same part of the church and that it's "creepy." Give me a break. I've lived in Atlanta for a quarter century and have researched that case extensively, and I've never heard of anything so ridiculous until now. There's also nothing online to support it. How to improve: cut the sales pitches, pick all real, present-day sites, cite sources, and deliver fewer, better stories with context. And if you can't come up with anything legitimately spooky to say - - - just don't say anything at all, stop giving tours, and STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. (If refunds are being considered [and they absolutely should be], my brother is owed one - he spent $130 for our party of five, plus travel, parking fees, and a wasted evening. This "tour" didn’t match the description or value, and your company should be both apologetic and embarrassed that you actually accept money for a complete load of crap.)

It was neat to learn about the history of the buildings and what occurred there, but would have been better if we could have gotten closer to each building.

10/10 trash. Our tour guide was Monique and she was clearly just making stuff up and attempting to piece together a story with no ability to tell a story. She would say things like "this is abandoned" and then in the next breath "people still come here for treatment". Like what? She said things that sounded insane, like the Annabelle doll was from the ATL goodwill (as we stood in a sketchy gas station parking lot), and a quick google search proved them wrong. Even with that claim, she couldn't even tell what the movie franchise was that was about Annabelle and said Chuck was based on it. That is when people started leaving the tour early. We gave it until the Fox Theatre, but when she said the Tiny Doors of ATL was for little people to get their tickets, we were done.

Fun to learn some local history and lore of the community and neighborhood. Interesting stories, and the guide was enthusiastic and obviously loved what he does.

Our guide Etta was great. She was on time and engaging. She made the tour bearable. Ive taken many tours and while I have never seen any ghosts, learning town history makes it all worthwhile. Surely, GA can do better than this. The tour should be called the ghost story tours instead.
