Stroll "Barrio de Analco". A place full of history, culture, tradition, and street art. It is the oldest neighborhood in Guadalajara, founded by Franciscan friars and indigenous "Caxcanes" in 1542. During the colonial era, it was an indigenous town, and its two temples are older than the cathedral.
You will visit its emblematic places (squares, churches, neo-colonial buildings, monuments, and the local market). Learning its history from your local host.
After a 60-minute historical walking tour, you will have dinner at Tortas Analco, a renowned local food stand that has been in operation since 1955.

5.00I had a great tour with Fernando. Even though I was the only signed up for the tour that day, he took me to all the sites and explained what they all meant. We finished off at the craft brewery and I tried all the different types of beer and then we purchased a couple of my favorites. I am not staying in a great area so Fernando made sure I got home safely before he continued home his self. It was a fun evening.

5.00This was our third tour with Fernando Rodriguez - a top tier guide for all things related to Guadalajara. His knowledge of the Analco Neighborhood is unparalleled and he covered the both the good and bad parts of the area's history. After the "knowledge" part of the tour, Fernando took us to an almost secret craft beer facility that is somewhat hidden from the outside world. We tasted six different beers, ordered a full beer and then bought a six-pack to take with us. The staff was friendly and during the tasting, Fernando covered some additional history, adding his own incredible fascinating insights!.

5.00Fernando is an amazing guide and person. I was the only one during this tour, but I felt completely comfortable. I learned so much about the colonial: history, culture, food, and people. I also went to an amazing bar. It’s a must do to try the artisan beers. Guadalajara has some tasty beer options. Thank you Fernando for this amazing experience.
