Come with us for our Express Aurora Hunt and have a guaranteed early return to Tromsø city centre. Leave the city lights behind and travel into the Arctic wilderness. During this activity, our small team of Aurora guides check the forecasts and uses local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights within an hour's drive from town. On this activity, we will travel wherever looks safest and with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights within 1 hr of Tromsø city centre. Once we arrive at the best location, we will be waiting for the show to begin. In the meantime, our guides will tell you stories about the North and the science behind the Aurora. We'll have you back to the city centre by midnight, so you can be well rested the next morning.

Participants must be over 4 years old - we can accept younger children, however parents must bring car seat, thermal clothing and meal, and office must be informed

Not recommended for travellers unable to walk on uneven or icy terrain.

Delighted I picked the express tour as I didn't want to spend up to 8/9 hours chasing the lights and potentially still not see them. As it happens we did see them and our guide, Evgeni, was great at explaining the scientific and cultural background to them as well as keeping us entertained and warm. I'd recommend this tour to anyone else going to Tromso.

Express tour booked. Evgeni made the whole night perfect took us to the best places to view and wow wow wow! So fortunate to see Aurora we were truly blessed! Also shooting star! Couldn't ask for more perfect guide who was even going to go over and above to work longer hours if needed so we could get to see Aurora as it was no need as perfect spot and wonderful information and stories told to us. We definitely learned a lot. Lovely warm drink and biscuit too was so kind. What an end to the most wonderful break in Tromso. Thank you Evgeni

Took the 4 hour trip in Tromso to see the Northern lights. It was an amazing trip, really informative and friendly guides. Make sure to wear warm clothing as it very very cold especially on feet and hands.

The crew was super friendly and prepared, Jordan kept giving us rich information about the region and the lights. The van was comfortable, the driver Michael was super careful, and the little dinner was delicious and warm. We saw beautiful lights, and even saw them dancing right above us, really a magical moment.

We were lucky to be grouped with Evgeni, who led a great tour for us. We were very fortunate to get good weather and conditions to see the Northern Lights, and he made it clear at the start that the lights are never guaranteed. He took us to 3 spots for the tour, helping to take photos at each of the stops along the way. He also explained how the process of the lights works which was helpful. Because the conditions were so good he even extended the trip by 30 minutes as the lights were too good to miss out on while we were going back to the drop off location.

Anna was an amazing guide. We had wonderful soup, hot chocolate and a fire right after spending hours looking at the sky.

It wasn’t obvious to see aurora on that snowy night, however we were so lucky with our guide Bart who found a wonderful spot, where suddenly a gap between the clouds revealed splendid aurora. It was well organized, the pit fire was really fun, soup and chocolate excellent. The best was our guide, kind, knowledgeable, interesting and fun. We recommend 100%.

-5 stars would be the appropriate rating. We waited at the meeting point for about 1 hour. Tried to call the operator but no answer. No communication about any schedule updates. Extremely disappointed.
