Enjoy an amazing truffle hunting with a professional "Trifolao" and his trained dog near Monforte d' Alba. Breathe pure air in a gorgeous wood and enjoy the intense truffle scent. Meet the hunter and his dogs, who are specially trained to sniff out truffles, you’ll have a good chance of tracking down the elusive fungi. Along the way, learn more about truffles and why they are so rare, and pick up expert tips on how to find them. The experience ends with a wine tasting paired with cheese with black truffle, scratched on top.

"The price for the truffle hunting experience does not include the trifulao’s fee. This fee is:

40€ per person for groups of two people

30€ per person for groups of three or more

The fee must be paid in cash directly to the Trifulao on the day of the experience, based on the total number of participants."

All tours begin in Monforte d'Alba, where you'll meet your guide. You'll need your own transportation to follow the guide on a 10-minute drive to the forest area and later to the Enoteca. (A transfer service from Monforte is available upon request for an additional fee, with limited spots.) The experience starts with an introduction to truffles, covering their types, growth, and where they can be found. Upon reaching the forest, you'll meet the truffle hunter and his specially trained dogs before starting the hunt. Please note that any truffles found during the hunt are not included in the price. The walk takes place in a wooded area, so comfortable, outdoor-appropriate clothing is recommended, especially during the colder months. If needed, rubber boots will be provided. An absolutely amazing experience. We went in April which was a little wet.. however we still had a great time and found several truffles Later in the year is meant to be the perfect time so we can’t wait to return! The hosts were truely fantastic and we can’t recommend enough

we have been with our dog Kuno- and it was comfortable and interesting - no problem at all - we also found several truffels we bought one and hat two meals with... unforgotable

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The truffle hunting was in the woods and boots were provided if desired. It was wonderful to be in the forest and see first hand how truffles are hunted. The dogs found a dozen white truffles. Afterwards the wine tasting was so informative and Marina made it intimate. We sample 6 wines and she even let us sample another before buying. She also provided information about the region and paired cheeses. I would highly recommend this package experience
