During this unique 3 hours walking tour, we explore the main historic sites and gastronomic delights of Valencia's old town - There is much more than just paella!

Valencia Cathedral

We’ll start at our meeting point, the Cathedral of Valencia, with an introduction to the old town. Then passing by iconic alleys and churches, we’ll walk to a traditional café nearby to taste freshly made horchata. You’ll learn how this unique Valencian drink is made, and how to drink it like a local paired with a delicious light and fluffy pastry called a farton.

On the way to the Central Market, we’ll explore the old part of the city with its colourful buildings, beautiful squares, and you’ll get to feel the great vibe of the area! We'll make our second food stop at a traditional candy store ! Our always favourite!

Our food tour through Valencia’s old town was just wonderful. Vivi guided us with so much warmth and enthusiasm through the little streets, always knowing exactly where to find the best local flavors. She showed us tasty specialties and cozy hidden spots that really made us feel the spirit of the city. All in all, a super relaxed, delicious, and memorable experience that honestly left us impressed and happy.

We had a wonderful food tour in Valencia. Our guide Vivi was an absolute delight, I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with her. She is an Italian girl who has been living in Spain for about 10 years and she now runs her own tours here. She took us to a variety of little spots where we tried different foods. All along the way she seemed to know so many people. She is so authentic and has a lovely disposition. One of the spots we went to was a tapas restaurant within the huge central market building of Valencia. This place called The Central Bar by Ricard Camerena is run by a Michelin starred chef (he has 2 stars). We had a fabulous little pork loin sandwich paired perfectly with a Spanish white wine. Another spot that was amazing was a complete hole in the wall place where the speciality is sardines fried with garlic and olive oil. The sardines were served with some pieces of good bread and paired with a little glass of beer. I don’t do sardines, never have, but this was truly a revelation for me! The place is so small that they just have a bit of a bar area with a stove out in the open and a glass case filled with the boned and filleted sardines. It’s family run. We ate standing at a narrow shelf along the back wall since there were people crowded around the bar. Maybe it was partly because my expectations were so low given my disregard for sardines but I was so impressed with how simple and how delicious it was. The beer is purposely served in glasses that are about 6 ounces so that you can keep refilling them and always have beer that is really cold and we thought that was so smart. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. I highly recommend it, this was a highlight of our time in Spain.

I had a fabulous time with Vivi learning some of the history of Valencia, indulging in fine food & wine, and exploring the Central Market. We also visited local bar’s & restaurants that offered some of the city’s tastiest tapas! Vivi’s energy, radiant smile & passion for her job, draws you in each time she speaks. You will see & do so much in 3 hours and probably won’t have room for another meal until tomorrow! Don’t leave València without booking a tour with Vivi! You can thank me later!!

Amazing tour, beyond helpful guide who was knowledgeable of the area we were going to and open to asking any questions we had. Great suggestions for sights to see and foods to try. Will definitely be coming back and would book again!

Vivi was amazing! We went to local food spots that only a local would have knowledge of. The food was delicious, and Vivi kept the party going. I highly recommend doing this experience.

Vivi made us feel comfortable and welcome from the very start. The food and drink experience was amazing and top quality. I’ve been to València a few times, but I was introduced to some interesting and new places to eat, that I would definitely visit again.

What a delight to have Vivi as our tour guide!
