We will depart from Bari at 08:30 for a day exploring three jewels of the Valle d’Itria.
Polignano a Mare is a coastal town famous for its cliffs and the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. The historic center, with its narrow streets, arches, and flower-filled balconies, overlooks beaches like Lama Monachile. We will stop here for 2 hours.
Ostuni, the “White City,” stands on a hill with spectacular views, and its historic center is a labyrinth of narrow streets where houses whitewashed with “lime” create a unique atmosphere. We invite you to take advantage of the 2.5 hours available to taste typical local dishes.
Finally, Locorotondo is renowned for its circular center, white houses adorned with flowers, and the “cummerse,” typical sloping roofs. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of vineyards and olive groves, famous for local white wines. We will stop in Locorotondo for 2 hours.
After a day full of discoveries, we will return to Bari (Polignano at 18:00) at 18:30.

Centro Storico di Polignano a Mare
Polignano a Mare: Birthplace of the singer Domenico Modugno, famous for his iconic song "Nel blu dipinto di blu," Polignano enchants visitors with a historic center rich in Arab, Byzantine, Spanish, and Norman influences, seen in the remnants of the four defensive towers that once surrounded the old town. Its crystal-clear waters and cliffs carved with impressive sea caves are Polignano’s defining features, earning it the title of the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Located just over 30 km from Bari, it’s a must-visit destination.
Ostuni
Ostuni, known as the “White City,” is a charming Apulian town perched on a hill, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the Adriatic Sea. Its main feature is the architecture of its houses, all whitewashed with lime, giving it a unique and enchanting appearance. At the center of Ostuni stands the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, a masterpiece of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The church’s façade, decorated with a magnificent rose window, and the interior rich in frescoes and details, represent one of the most important places of worship in the city. From the Cathedral, a series of streets lead to panoramic terraces offering breathtaking views. In the heart of Ostuni is also the Piazza della Libertà, a lively meeting point surrounded by cafés and restaurants. In the surrounding countryside, visitors can immerse themselves in the centuries-old olive groves that represent the agricultural heart of the region.

Nice day trip with sensational Polignano a Mare. I strongly recommend to visit Polignano a Mare, Ostuni and Locorotondo. Avoid to visit south Italy-Puglia in the summertime, it's really hot 🥵🔥

It was a terrible experience. We made a short trip to Bari and did not know the difficulty of taking a taxi in the city. The decision to travel in May was because it was a month with less influx of tourists compared to the summer. But on the day of the tour we took about half an hour to get a taxi to the meeting point since we could not walk. When I was in the taxi I sent a message about 15 minutes before the established by the travel company. I didn't get an answer. We were late about 6 minutes and when we arrived the bus had already left. The company gave a tolerance of Five minutes. Being a frequent traveler I have never seen anything similar. And then what was our surprise. The head of the tourism agency, a young man named Francesco, directed us to take a taxi and go to the railway station where we should take a train to Polignano al Mare and find the tour bus. We headed to the railway station not without first requesting the refund since on that day the lack of taxi was characterized by the arrival of 2 tourist ships in the port of the city. He told us he would contact us. We are waiting until this date. Our surprise was that when we arrived at the train station there was a train strike. Without the minimum condition of reaching the destination suggested by Mr. Francesco. Having made new contact with this representative of the agency, he informed us that he did not know about the rail system strike, which was National. Here is our impression for the unpreparedness of this agency in serving tourists. This observation was made by a person who has traveled for about 23 years. We are people of age 3 and one of them with a certain degree of motor difficulty. I think that being professionals should have more consideration with tourists especially when they are no longer so young. By experience I would not again choose this agency unfortunately.
