Depart Muscat on the way, we make a short photo stop to little village of Fanja, before we continue our journey to the famous Wahiba Sands Desert, where you drive off road and see stretches after stretches of pure sand and endless towering sand dunes. Here you will get to appreciate and experience the real feel and magic of the Omani desert. We have the chance to visit a traditional Bedouin house where we can try Omani coffee and dates also you can ride Camel and drive to the dunes and take lots of photos. Then after we will stop to a local restaurant for Lunch. Then we drive to Wadi Bani Khalid. This is one of the biggest and most beautiful wadis that Oman is famous for. The wadi canyon is impressive with its amazing steep walls and breathtaking crystal-clear water pools it is awesome to look at on its own can you also enjoy a swim in the relaxing cool freshwater pool or just sunbathe. Then after we drive back to Muscat.

5.00The desert safari was truly an unforgettable adventure. Our group consisted of 24 people, and the tour guide had thoughtfully arranged six 4×4 vehicles to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. We began our journey at Wadi Bani Khalid, paused briefly for a shawarma meal, and then headed towards the vast Wahiba desert. For many in our group, this was their first time experiencing the desert, and Hamood Bhai along with his team made every effort to turn it into a special memory. Reaching the crest of the dunes right as the sun dipped below the horizon was an awe-inspiring moment. Standing there with close friends and family, surrounded by nature’s beauty, felt truly surreal. I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Oman.

5.00Desert Safari was a beautiful experience. We were a group of 24 people and our tour guide arranged 6 4×4 vehicles for us for the Desert Safari. We started to Wadi Bani Khalid, stopped for a quick shawarma lunch and rushed to Wahiba. It was a first time experience for a lot of us and Hamood Bhai and his team made sure that it was a memorable one. We reached the top of the sand dunes just in time for the sunset and it was just breath taking. Just being there with close ones and witnessing Nature was mesmerizing. 100 percent would recommend!

5.00This second day was truly outstanding, and once again a big part of this unforgettable experience was thanks to our guide, Mr Badar Alhasni. His kindness, professionalism and genuine care made the day exceptional from start to finish. At Wadi Bani Khalid, Mr Badar Alhasni did much more than simply guide us through the site. He even took us up into the surrounding heights to offer stunning panoramic viewpoints over the wadi. These views were absolutely spectacular and allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the landscape. He always gave us plenty of time to enjoy each place, without ever rushing us. In the Wahiba Sands Desert, the experience became both magical and joyful. We went sand sledding, which was great fun and our children, although already adults, ended up playing in the sand like young children for a long time. They laughed, ran and enjoyed the moment freely, right up until sunset. Watching the sun slowly set over the dunes was deeply moving and created an unforgettable atmosphere. Throughout the day, Mr Badar Alhasni guided us with great discretion, kindness and a lovely sense of humor, always present but never intrusive. This day offered a perfect balance between nature, adventure, fun and relaxation. It was an exceptional experience that we will cherish for a very long time, and we highly recommend it, especially with such an outstanding guide.

His expertise clearly displayed from his confident driving over the stunning sand dunes and his flawless time management, which ensured we saw everything at the ideal pace. The highlight was his guidance at Wadi Bani Khalid; he expertly navigated the trails to show us the breathtaking turquoise pools nestled in the dramatic canyon. He also shared fascinating insights into the local culture and helped us take beautiful photos, which deeply enriched the experience. 5.00We booked for a trip from Muscat to visit Wadi Bani Khaled and a Sunset Desert Safari. We were collected from our hotel by Mr. Badar and had a great time with him. We enjoyed our time at the Wadi and he guided us through the entire route followed by a trip to the desert, with some dune fun and finishing off with some awesome Kahawa/Coffee and Dates. We had a grand time with Mr. Badar!

5.00We had a wonderful day with Amer. The Wadi Bany Khalid wasn’t too busy, and we had a great swim in the beautiful water. We really enjoyed jumping in from the rocks (the tour company kindly reminded me to have suitable clothes to swim in - covered arms and legs). After the Wadi we headed to the Bedouin house which was really interesting. Then we went to the dessert. Amer took us to some dunes for some fun for the boys in the sand, and to take some great photos! He’s an excellent photographer 😊 Then we headed to our camp, Nomadic Dessert Camp. I chose this camp as I wanted somewhere quiet (no quad bikes!), well into the dessert for dark skies, and a really authentic experience. It was exactly that. Wonderful hosts / owners and great service. A sky full of stars was incredible. We took a ‘dessert safari’ as an extra. Driving through the dunes, visiting baby camels and goats, catching and examining a little lizard, and taking in the magnificent sunset from on top of a dune. The boys enjoyed burying each other too! The food at the camp was really tasty and there was plenty of it. As a vegetarian I was well catered for. Before breakfast we took the short camel ride for 20 mins which was great fun. We saw that the camels are extremely well cared for and very gentle. The whole trip was wonderful.

5.00We had a memorable experience exploring Wadi Bani Khalid and Dessert along with warm hospitality at the Bedouin house. Thanks to our Tour guide Ahmed who was very knowledgeable and also took good care of us as we were travelling with my 4 year old daughter. He helped us walking in the Wadi and also took us to a good local restaurant for lunch. Nice coffee with prefect sunset in the Dessert. Highly recommend Ahmed. Thank you Oman Landscape tours for a memorable day.
