This beautiful, boutique, authentic, scenic wine tour offers the best views and wines of Waiheke Island. You will visit three of the island’s world-renowned vineyards for wine tastings and a lunch stop at The Batch Winery, which boasts breathtaking 360-degree views of the Hauraki Gulf. From this vineyard, you can enjoy the stunning sights of Auckland and the iconic Rangitoto Volcano.

During the tour, our local authentic Tour Guides will give engaging commentary and teach you about the Island the culture and the people of Waiheke.

Our itinerary starts with tastings at 11 AM, followed by lunch (at your own expense) at a stunning venue, then we will head to Onetangi Valley for additional wine tastings. The grand finale will take place at The Mudbrick Vineyard. All vineyards offer breathtaking views, showcasing picturesque villages, beautiful beaches, lush vineyards, and charming homes.

What To Expect

Waiheke Island

Pickup and drop-off at the Matiatia Wharf meeting point in Waiheke Island at 1040am , catch the 10am ferry over, this is a fully guided tour, with commentary and lots of scenery. This gorgeous boutique shared wine tour visiting Waiheke’s most popular vineyards; included in this tour is tasting wine at three of the vineyards we visit, . Our lunch venus is the gorgeous Thomas Batch Vineyard with wrap-around views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf for miles! Lunch is at your own cost. The wine tour was incredible. Our tour guide Caleb was very knowledgable about the area and each vineyard, and was perfect for getting us from place to place. The full tour was well timed and we managed to fit everything in we needed to, and it never felt like we rushed. And we were back down to make the 4pm ferry to Auckland. The staff at all 3 vineyards were also very pleasant and knowledgeable, and the wine was amazing. Highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this experience! We had a great time and learned a lot. Nooroa was our bus driver and he was amazing!! Great wine and great memories :)

This tour is great, made even better by Nooroan the guide he was amazing and made the day perfect. Beautiful views from the vineyards and lovely wines. Just be aware that you have to get yourself to the island , we came over on the ferry and it was $48 each return. Top tip… if your tour is at 10.40am on the island, get the 9am ferry from Auckland but make sure your there by 8.20am as the ques for the ferry are massive and you may not get on it otherwise.

Debbie was wonderful. The island is beautiful. The wineries were educational and relaxing. Beware of tasting the $1000 bottle of wine at the last stop. We paid $20 for a sip that wasn't as good as the other wines. The sommelier acted as if it would be complimentary when offering it, but it wasn't.

Our day tour with Nooroa surpassed our expectations. We were very lucky with our group on board with us which made for and enjoyable day. Big, comfortable coach, great commentary along the way and the wineries we visited were of a very high standard.
