We had such a pleasure at the tour! Were able to taste many different things, learned a lot about the rainforest and it‘s living. It was a very well spent day and we definitely think this was one of our travel highlights so far!

Our small group tour lead by Chase Walker was fun and informative. Initially we picked-up wraps for a later lunch, and visited a farm stand for fresh fruits which Chase shared among the group. ( tip: DO NOT buy the honey sold there if you plan to travel to another country. In spite of what the vendor said, mine was confiscated upon arrival to NZ.) Throughout the day Chase showed us medicinal plants that the Aboriginals use, and spoke of their history and culture. We visited a rain forest, spent time on a beach walk, waded in a fresh water stream and ate our wraps on her family's veranda.

I loved this tour. Chase was a wonderful and friendly guide that shared a lot of her family history and connection to the area which made the tour feel intimate as well as very insightful and local.

This is a fantastic tour. The day before the tour we were slightly regretting booking an all day tour since we had been touring quite a bit. But it turned out to be a great experience, thanks to Aaron our guide (I'm sure that his anglicized name). Aaron showed us native use of many plant species & insects, both for eating a medicinal purposes. There were many stops during the day the day for that purpose, and for seeing various animals & insects. Aaron would spot various wildlife that none of us were able to see until he pointed it out. We also walked through the Daintree Rainforest as Aaron explained many things about it. The lunch provided was very good with lots of local fruit. It's very difficult to explain here, but Aaron was so enthusiastic and funny that he made the whole day very informative & fun. This is a great tour!! If you can't do the full day tour I suggest you consider the 1/2 day.

One of our best memories from our trip down under is the time we spent with Juan from Walkabout. The tour was special, informative, positive and welcoming. Juan is driven and incredibly enthusiastic. He does everything he can to tell you new things, teach you, show you and let you taste. You get to see a piece of his culture, history and background. It was truly fantastic.

Not only one of the most insightful cultural tours you'll take, but also the most personal (and fun). From the ocean to the rainforest, you get a rare chance to hear about the people, the culture and the language that help you to appreciate this remarkable place. While crabbing in the mangroves, serving damper on her grandparents' verandah and swimming in the gorge, our host Chase told her family's story, sharing locations, documents and ocean treasures (and patiently answering every question). A warm, thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable day!

A great glimpse into indigineous customs and culture, sharing stories of their own ancestors in an engaging and interactive way. Our guide, Chaseeley, was very accommodating in allowing us to join the tour late after some morning drama.

We had a unforgettable day with Aaron. This is an experience not to miss. We learnt and saw so many facinating things and how a lot of the plants and insects have a medical use. We still talk about it days after and will do so even in the future.
