It's certainly a long day, but overall good experience. The bus is very comfortable (modern amenities, bathroom onboard, reclining seats with footrests). The boatride was my least favorite part of the trip. It's a tight fit, and be warned, if you're sitting from the middle part of the boat backwards you will get wet. I was completely soaked through which is frustrating as I couldn't even open my eyes to look out and I was getting pelted with sea water. Luckily between lunch afterwards and more time on the bus, I eventually dried out. The sand dunes is obviously the highlight and the driver was excellent which made the trip worth it. I paid the extra for the 2hr buggy and was worth it. Only complaint is that we didn't travel to the top dune overlooking the oasis (the postcard photo you see everywhere). Replicating that photo would have been ideal. But for the money, this trip as a whole was worth it.

We chose hotel pickup, The van gives you a time frame so be ready waiting in lobby. Then we drove to an area to get on a large shuttle bus because Paracas was 3.5 hrs away. Boris was our bus guide. When we arrived you get about 15-20 min to shop around and then go on the boat tour of candelabra, saw sea lions, and Humboldt penguins. Mickey was our boat guide and waiter at the buffet we stopped to next. It was optional. Then we drive another hour to Huacachina and if you wanted to pay additional you could do a 2hr sand boarding tour. I stayed with 1hr because I was already scared of height. Ordered some dinner at the eco resort and finally headed home. It’s a long excursion with multiple add ons. $5 USD/ 20soles for admission to Paracas $49 Soles per person for buffet they take credit cards $? To upgrade for 2 hour sand boarding tour $? To upgrade sand board to Snow board/boots/binding they took credit cards

Luz was an amazing host/guide! Everything was so well organized, timely, & FUN. My parents in their 60’s enjoyed this trip, & so did me, my boyfriend, & my brother who are all in our 20’s. It had something for everyone. The bus is super spacious and comfortable, & plenty of opportunities to get food or stretch your legs. Definitely recommend if you’re going to Peru & want to see these places but don’t have time to stay.

Don’t do the buffet lunch, a rip off: few selections, poor quality full of potatoes rice noddles, cold and bad taste, and expensive $15 (yes expensive in Peru standard). Go find somewhere else nearby to eat. Guide also did only the basic logistics and English was not easy to understand and mixed with Spanish. Guide didn’t wait till all the passengers to gather first and left already and when down town must playing cell phone.
