Good to Know: The dune buggy adventure and sandboarding are a combined, dynamic experience. You'll enjoy both thrilling activities within a single 2-hour tour, with dedicated pauses for capturing stunning photos of your journey.
Your journey concludes with an estimated arrival back in Lima around 11:30 p.m. To ensure convenient drop-offs, we will enter the city through the vibrant district of Barranco, followed by Miraflores, and will complete the route in San Isidro. Please note that drop-off times can be later than anticipated, particularly on weekends due to heavy traffic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone safely to their final destination.
IMPORTANT: Pickup Information - Please Read Carefully Your exact pickup time will be sent via the booking platform the night before your tour, along with the group link. Please note: As we coordinate multiple hotel pickups across the city, traffic conditions may cause delays of 15-20 minutes. Our drivers prioritize safety while completing the scheduled route. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please bring cash/local currency. We will stop for breakfast on the way to Paracas or perhaps take some time here before the boat tour, also for any needs you may have during the day.
Warm weather all year round. Jacket for speedboat ride Ballestas Islands, cold breeze. Closed footwear for Sandboarding.
Bring sunglasses, bandana, very important for the desert. Lots of sandy wind. You can purchase them except in Paracas or Huacachina. Bring also sunscreen, it is hot all year round in Paracas and Huacachina.

Very important. On holidays such as Easter Weekend from April 6 to 9 and from July 28 to 30, celebration of Independence Day in Peru: Pick-ups will be made 1 hour before usual hours. The activities of the Ballestas Islands will be only 1 hour and 30 minutes (all operators) and Dune buggy & Sandabord (Huacachina) only 1 hour (all operators)

We will begin our epic day with pick-ups at your accommodation anywhere in the mentioned districts: 1. San Isidro (04:40 am) 2. Miraflores (05:30 am) 3. Barranco - 05:40 am) If you are outside our pickup districts, we will pick you up at 05:30 am. m. at Calle Porta 145, Miraflores. IMPORTANT: All our travelers will be added to a WhatsApp group the night before at 8:00 p.m. Peruvian time. We share information about the tour, pick-up times, recommendations, and of course exact location in real time.
Paracas
We will travel from Lima to Paracas (3 hours) to visit the famous Ballestas Islands on a 2-hour boat tour to see sea lions, cute penguins, many migratory birds, and the enigmatic chandelier.

2.00A cool experience but extremely rushed and disorganized. We did not received anything other than an email to message the operator the night before. The operator did not confirm our pickup time before hand and it took me calling them at 4 am on the day of the tour to learn that they would be picking us up in an hour. Horrible communication. The bus was also very old with a disgusting stench. I felt nauseous and asked if we could stop for medicine and the guide said nothing would be open. The food stops were also selected by the tour and were overpriced for pretty gross food. The listing says that you can rent standing sand boards for $15USD. We told our tour guide we would like to rent them once we arrived at huacachina and he told us we needed to have told them earlier. We showed him our booking which did not say anywhere that we needed to let them know the day prior to our tour if we wanted a standing sandboard. He helped us get one but once again extremely rushed. I was also on my period and was not given the chance to use the bathroom when requested even though we were at our stop in paracas and it would have only held up the group by 2 mins. I do not recommend this tour. We were the only English speaking people on this tour and it felt very curated to Spanish speakers only.

5.00I saw pictures of the tour online before joining. But the actual tour is still much better than I had expected. The Paracas coast line is stunningly beautiful and unique. There are so many sea lions and penguins in the close. The Huacachina desert experience is amazing: wild buggy ride, cool sandboarding, sunset on the desert, seeing the oasis in person. It's a Full day 5am to 12 midnight. Rose is a fabulous tour guide! If there's anything to add, I wanted to try the standing sandboarding that wasn't available to our group. Overall, it's a great tour though, and even much better for the money.

5.00Really complete tour, starting and closing from the hotel, the places to feed were good, clean, nice, cool and safe. The places we visited were what they offered, each of them were attractive to the tourist, Isla Ballestas we saw its fauna, in Ica we had lunch and pisco tasting, and in the Oasis we enjoyed the adrenaline of the buggy and sliding on boards through the dunes. The bus service really comfortable, prepare at 19 hours travel, lack of time to enjoy the experience. We would have liked to have had time to tour the artisan fair in Paracas and see the Oasis, as we enjoyed the dunes with their sunset.

5.00Our experience with the company Peru Bucket List, especially with our guide Rose, was excellent. She has great energy, shares all the information clearly, and organizes the itinerary very well. We were able to do everything, and we arrived in Lima as planned. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and all the attractions on the itinerary were very interesting and enjoyable (with the note that in Paracas — an amazing and precious place — the boats get very close to the animals, which is quite uncomfortable). I highly recommend both the guide and the tour!

5.00A fantastic day out - the boat ride to the Islas Ballestats and the sand buggy ride/sand boarding were both such amazing experiences, it’s great you can fit them both in one day. Even though it’s an early start/late finish it was completely worth it. JD made everything very easy and got us from place to place with adequate break/rest stops throughout the day. Thank you!
