Good to Know: The dune buggy adventure and sandboarding are a combined, dynamic experience. You'll enjoy both thrilling activities within a single 2-hour tour, with dedicated pauses for capturing stunning photos of your journey.
Your journey concludes with an estimated arrival back in Lima around 11:30 p.m. To ensure convenient drop-offs, we will enter the city through the vibrant district of Barranco, followed by Miraflores, and will complete the route in San Isidro. Please note that drop-off times can be later than anticipated, particularly on weekends due to heavy traffic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone safely to their final destination.
IMPORTANT: Pickup Information - Please Read Carefully Your exact pickup time will be sent via the booking platform the night before your tour, along with the group link. Please note: As we coordinate multiple hotel pickups across the city, traffic conditions may cause delays of 15-20 minutes. Our drivers prioritize safety while completing the scheduled route. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please bring cash/local currency. We will stop for breakfast on the way to Paracas or perhaps take some time here before the boat tour, also for any needs you may have during the day.
Warm weather all year round. Jacket for speedboat ride Ballestas Islands, cold breeze. Closed footwear for Sandboarding.
Bring sunglasses, bandana, very important for the desert. Lots of sandy wind. You can purchase them except in Paracas or Huacachina. Bring also sunscreen, it is hot all year round in Paracas and Huacachina.

Very important. On holidays such as Easter Weekend from April 6 to 9 and from July 28 to 30, celebration of Independence Day in Peru: Pick-ups will be made 1 hour before usual hours. The activities of the Ballestas Islands will be only 1 hour and 30 minutes (all operators) and Dune buggy & Sandabord (Huacachina) only 1 hour (all operators)
To ensure a seamless and pleasant start to your tour, please confirm your pick-up location and WhatsApp number with us before the day of your trip. Our final confirmation call is at 8:00 p.m. the night before. Having your correct details allows us to provide you with a smooth, hassle-free experience.

We will begin our epic day with pick-ups at your accommodation anywhere in the mentioned districts: 1. San Isidro (04:40 am) 2. Miraflores (05:30 am) 3. Barranco - 05:40 am) If you are outside our pickup districts, we will pick you up at 05:30 am. m. at Calle Porta 145, Miraflores. IMPORTANT: All our travelers will be added to a WhatsApp group the night before at 8:00 p.m. Peruvian time. We share information about the tour, pick-up times, recommendations, and of course exact location in real time.
Paracas
We will travel from Lima to Paracas (3 hours) to visit the famous Ballestas Islands on a 2-hour boat tour to see sea lions, cute penguins, many migratory birds, and the enigmatic chandelier.

1.00We did this tour with my family and it honestly felt like a long, stressful sprint instead of something fun. The whole day was packed so tight that we were basically always rushing. We’d get off the van, no time to breath, and with my families it’s even worse because they don’t move like robots. The guide didn’t really feel like a guide, more like a timekeeper. Lots of “30 minutes here” and “meet back there” but not muc actual info. When we asked questions aboit what we were seeing, the answer were super basic and then we’d get rushed along again. The bathroom situation was a mess too. Some stops had bathrooms that were kinda gross (no soap, no paper, wet floors) and other times it was just “wait until the next stop”, which is a nightmare. Lunch was at a tour-bus restaurant and it was exactly what you’d expect…bland food, overpriced drinks, and it felt like they kept us there longer so people would buy stuff.

5.00We had a great trip to Paracas, pisco tasting, and to Huacachina oasis. It was a long day because of the distance, but the bus was comfortable and our driver was great. Paracas was busy because it was a holiday. That made it crowded but our guide Rose navigated us through very smoothly. The Pisco tasting was amazing and The lunch was delicious. The Oasis was BEAUTIFUL! Sunset over the desert was a memory we will have for our lifetime. We did not do the belly boards because my husband has an injury but everyone looked like it was fun. We just rode in the dune buggy the whole time. Which was SOOOOOOO FUN! The only thing I would do differently is bring my own bandana. We bought them there and they were stretchy so sand would go through the weave. I wish I had own cotton bandanas to block the sand. Our guide Rose was such a delight! She was fun and spunky. She made sure everyone was having a good time. The majority of our tour was Spanish speaking but she still made sure to include us in everything. Rose made the trip top notch. The communication was good throughout the booking process and pickup/drop off was smooth. We would definitely use this company again ESPECIALLY if we could always be with Rose! This adventure was the last one of our Peruvian trip and it lived up to everything we could want. Thanks to the team at Peru Bucket list and special thanks to Rose! Highly recommend this company for this excursion.

3.00Well, unfortunately there was a problem in which the guide, instead of solving I create greater problem making the environment tense. Lunch for 38 very basic suns. The best was the buggy ride.
