This was absolutely incredible!! The boat ride was fun, the birds amazing, and watching the sea lions was magical. They followed behind our boat as we drove by the island and popped their heads out to watch us. I didn’t think the water was bad after the first two minutes, but coming back was a little chilly. I recommend bringing a warm/dry set of clothes/underwear to change into in the bathrooms after you get off the boat. Your stuff won’t get wet if you leave it on the seats of the boat.

What an amazing experience! We did this in May so it might be different in the summer. The sea was really cold and choppy (in fact we nearly didn’t go as the navy had closed the port for the lack of visibility as it was very foggy). Don’t let this put you off though, you just need to have the right gear on you so you stay warm. They do provide shorty wetsuits too. The boat is as per the pictures on the tour ad so you can see there isn’t much space to get changed, again, not an issue, just be prepared, have a large towel so you can take the wet swimming stuff off when you come back to the boat). Some people did get sea sick, if you are prone to that, get some tablets. Honestly, it is so worth it for the chance of swimming with sea lions in their live habitat. And yes they smell, but you get the same if you go to the zoo! I would recommend this too all my family and friends. It was unforgettable!

Very fun! Seeing penguins on the way was a fun bonus, but the sea lions were the star of the show!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe. My only request would be a bit more information in advance, like needing to bring a towel, when and where we will change into the wet suits, etc. But seriously, so worth it!!

Great scenery along the way and enjoyed the penguins and other birds. Swimming with the sea lions was fun, it smelled a little and the water was chilly but once you got in you were just excited to be close to the sea lions. Would recommend
