My wife and I went with our travel guide and had a blast! There were many flights(courses) and each was well planned with a drink and several small appetizers. We finished with a small walk to two local bars, it was magical.

I had the tour with Flavio, a wonderful instructor with extensive knowledge of Brazilian culture and food. Even for me who am Brazilian and familiar with everything that was presented I was surprised by the roots of our culture. I highly recommend!

Good way to taste a wise variety of local foods! Host was gracious and answered many questions about both Brazilian food and culture, pverall am outstatnding job. The food was tasty, with the picahna a stand-out. Tour was primarily on location (which would be hard to find but they send a very helpful video showing you how to arrive), with two stops a short walk away- nice in the hot weather and/or for people who dont want to walk long distance. The tour company was also very gracious in supporting a scheduling issue we had. Overall, would recommend.

Fantastic cooking and drinks with Erica. Erica is a local chef who was very comfortable with teaching a diverse group of tourists. She explained the culture behind the drinks and food we made as a group. The class was a fun intimate group of around 7 people which made it more fun to make a 3 course meal with drinks.

This was probably one of my highlights during my entire trip in Rio. Ana was lovely, the food we made was top tier, we also made lime and passion fruit caprihnas. I will definitely be coming back again when I’m next in Rio. As a non-Brazilian, she explained each of the dishes, and provided a PDF so that I can make it at home myself. Thank you for the experience ❤️

What you see on Viator is NOT what you get. You do not get to try 33 Brazilian foods. I can only specifically speak for my instructor, Roberto. He is a bundle of energy, very charismatic but does not take cleanliness seriously in the kitchen. There were multiple times where he touched his phone, coughed into his hands, raked through his hair before touching the food. We did not see him wash his hands throughout the session. At one point he ate over the food and his saliva dripped onto the food. The cherry on top was when he was talking with food in his mouth and he SPIT all the way across the room onto my friends face. I feel like he tries to butter you up by taking you to a bar after to get 1 drink and some appetizers. Overall, I can see this being a cool experience and I learned a lot about Brazilian cuisine but just check to see who your instructor is after booking and or prepared for the lack of cleanliness.

It was a super fun experience and it was super cool to learn about Brazilian culture through the food. However, the food is potentially not worth the price. Many of the items were store bought and few things were actually cooked, I felt it was a bit of false advertising. That being said Roberto was so much fun and overall the experience was very enjoyable which made up for it. We also got to end the hour at a bar with music and drinks that were included that made it super fun as well.

This is a really fun engaging experience and I highly recommend it. Roberto is a real character and his knowledge of his country's food and his enthusiasm is infectious. We had a great group of people who entered into the spirit. We tasted some Brazilian fruits and specialities and even tried our hands at cooking. Going for caipirinhas afterwards was a cool finish. Well worth it.
