We are proposing a teaching that will provide you with techniques, tools as well as confidence in your knowledge and your abilities to react correctly when a survival situation arises. This survival course is perfect for you to learn how to live and survive in the forest. Learn how to find your way out of tricky situations and learn how to see nature differently.
We will be focusing on the three survival fundamentals, our basic needs, and knowing which ones to prioritize. How to build a fire, a shelter and with what? We will find what to eat, where to find food, and how to prepare the dishes. We will also find water and learn how to collect it. We will have an introduction on plants and find out if they are edible, toxic or medicinal plants. We will track wildlife and talk about its dangers and how to continue when a survival situation arises. Besides we will do trapping, fishing, orientation - map reading.

Situations requiring survival training come without warning. Therefore you will have to be ready and be able to react fast to each of them. You could get lost in the forest, be a victim of a collision, trapped in an avalanche, stuck in a blizzard or a natural disaster may occur etc. This survival course is perfect for you to learn how to live and survive in the forest. The entire course is given in the wilderness. Learn how to find your way out of tricky situations and learn how to see nature differently. Don’t forget everything you need is around you, waiting to be used. Fire - how to build it? Shelter - how to build it? Food - what to eat? where to find it? Water - where to find it? how to collect it? Plants: introduction to edible, toxic and medicinal plants. Wildlife: tracking, dangers. Trapping, fishing. Orientation - map reading. Encampment - some simple tricks to make life easier in those situations. Survival in group: leadership. Please note; This activity requires at least 3 participants from early October to late April and at least 5 participants from early May to late September. In this case, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

5.00Amazing trip, can't recommend William highly enough. I learnt loads and everything was really practical so you properly put into practise the stuff he was telling you. The location was beautiful too and we all had a great time. Would recommend to anyone looking to do something different and get out of their comfort zone for a few days

We spent 4 days with william in the forest, building our own shelters, learning to forage, fish, find water, make fire - William has incredible knowledge and firsthand experience that he is always happy to share. Great instruction skills. Focus is on building skills & knowledge so food is provided, and you won’t have to worry about starving! Highly recommend

Brilliant Experience on the Four-Day Survival Course

5.00I’m so glad I signed up for the four-day course as it was a really fantastic experience. It was hard work and definitely tough at times (physically and mentally!) but it was also really good fun and totally unique - I picked up some really useful knowledge and skills which I know will stay with me. There was a good balance of some theory with a lot of practical learning - we learnt how to build a shelter and then went on to build our own (I was able to sleep in mine at the end too which was such a cool experience), we made fires with materials we found around us in the forest, learnt about gathering foods from the forest and lots more. The guides had a great rapport with each other and with the group, which it made it a really fun four days. They were both genuinely very passionate about the outdoors and nature, which made them great teachers. I highly recommend the four-day course and hope I’ll be back another year for another experience with True Nature Sweden.
