Kirkstone Pass
Pick up from your chosen collection point and then travel by car to Kirkstone Pass which is the Lake District’s highest pass that is open to motor traffic, with an altitude of 1,489 feet. At the top of Kirkstone Pass you will find Kirkstone Pass Inn where you can enjoy stunning views including Lake Windermere.
Stock Ghyll Force
From Kirkstone Pass we travel by car to Stock Ghyll Force. A short walk from Ambleside offers an opportunity to visit a 70 foot waterfall. The perfect place to stretch your legs and take some pictures.

5.00Myself and my daughter highly recommend Ian and his 4 x 4 journey around the South Lakes. Ian is a very knowledgeable young man who showed us places within the Lake District which we would never have visited on our own. Our whole Lake District experience was truly enhanced by this wonderful trip.
Best Tour of our Trip! A must do for anyone visiting.

5.00The highlight of our visit to the Lakes Region! Ian was wonderful. When we said we needed coffee he didn’t just stop in town, he took us up the side of a mountain to a tiny cafe with a nearby waterfall. We saw caves, gorgeous views of the lakes, a castle, and so much more than we expected. We would never have seen these gorgeous sites without booking this, as the roads are so narrow and steep. This is a must-do adventure for sure! Thanks Ian!

5.00We had a wonderful time with Ian driving through the beautiful picturesque Lake District on windy roads. Ian gave us lots of information, stopped along the way to take photos, walk short distances through fields and in a slate quarry, and visit pubs. We would not have been able to see these places and small beautiful towns on our own. Highly recommend!

5.00This is your custom tour of the things you want to see. The driver and tour guide has great local knowledge of the area with an off road ride through a small river. It was a truly magical short 4 hours where we got to see more great places not before seen. The cave was the highlight. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00Brilliant trip, got to stop at several lovely places and see lots of beautiful scenery along the way. Ian was a lovely guide, really friendly and even went out of his way to pick us up and drop us back after our car broke down. We were only in the area for a couple of days so this was a perfect way to see the highlights without the worry of driving, directions, parking or exploring narrow icy lanes. Would definitely recommend and is great value for a whole family trip.
