The food vendors at Granville Market are next level in respect to quality and flavour. We enjoyed delicious samples from a wide range of curated vendors at the market. Our guide was friendly and informative and shared tidbits about the history, geography and architecture of the area. As he was a trained chef, he was knowledgeable about the vendors and foods sampled. As a first time visitor to the Market I appreciated the guided experience. I will definitely return and I recommend this tour!

Michael was personable and engaging. Since he is a chef, he had a lot of great insights and introduced us to some really good food at the market. Highly satisfied with his tour. Even gave me cooking tips! If you go, you will not need dinner afterwards.

Michael, our tour guide, was a delight to spend time with! He told us about the history of Granville Market & since he is a trained chef was able to point out unusual fruits & vegetables when we walked through the fresh food area & talk about how some of the cooked foods were prepared. The tastes were fantastic!! My husband LOVED the soup--I think the focaccia bread & cheese/charcuterie paring was great (but a bit of wine with it would have been nice!!)--BUT we both agreed that the chocolates were amazing!! I think we tasted around 10 different prepared foods--you didn't need dinner. It was great fun & I highly recommend it! I've done Viator tastings in other cities & they are always memorable because you have the chance to interact with a local resident who has great insight into the area.
Worthwhile! You won’t regret it

Loved having Michael, a knowledgeable local, retired chef as our guide. We tried items from 10 different vendors & covered quite a bit of ground around the public market. This tour takes the overwhelm out of visiting a market of this size. Everything about booking guided tours through Viator has been top notch - on time & well taken care of throughout.

We walked throughout the Market and had a lovely selection of both savory and sweet bites. There was plenty of food to qualify as a meal. Our tour leader Michael guided us through local points of interest, as well as his experience growing up in Canada and traveling the world as a chef.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Granville Market with Bob. He was very knowledgeable and also extremely friendly. We loved all of the delicious treats he chose for us, and could not believe how much we were lucky enough to try! We also really appreciated being able to take advantage of the discount at the vendors we visited after the tour.

An absolutely amazing food tour! A stroke of bad luck lead to they’re being Horrendous weather, but it was still worth entering out into the cold wind. There were so many different foods to try and so much information shared on the history of that food in the region. Highly recommend to anyone!

Maggie was our guide and you could tell she loved the market. Her knowledge was excellent and her tour included many great stops. It was raining and we debated on canceling. So glad we went was a great was to spend a good part of the day. Had very little room for lunch.
