Not at all like advertised. Pick ups were delayed as one couple delayed us 45min. They should have left them as the rest of the day was squeezed and times and activities were shortened. We never saw the presidential palace as we were told there was an event there but suspect it was eliminated due to time constraints. The heritage village we barely had 5min to see anything. We spent too much time at Ferrari World and the Date Market all places that were tourist traps looking to sell us merchandise. The hour at Dubai Mall for lunch was also unnecessary as could have taken us somewhere more local and authentic! The itinerary was inverted because we could only get a 4pm time slot and so that was left until end of day and we started with Ferrari World which was disappointing. Our guide Bilal was a good guy but 6 people and him squeezed into a little Toyota for an hour and 30 minute drive from Dubai meant those of us in back couldn’t really hear him. The only saving grace of this tour was the visit to the Grand Mosque which is a must see and spectacular!

Was extremely hot, they took us to the date and chocolate shop and we thought we had purchased 63.00 AED buy when checked card if was 630.00 total rip off. Didn't get to see Yas circuit which was disappointing. There needed to be more water on board. Both the palace and mosque were amazing.

The itinerary that we booked changed and did not do a part of it where we were to spend an hour at and the reason why we booked this tour. We were told that because others had booked different things there was no time to do what we had booked for. The vehicle was not appropriate for the trip. There were 6 in the group and we were in a car that was cramped, could not see out the windows to look at the tall buildings that were pointed out and were not able to take any photos, very poor. Driving was not the best and had to hold on, very rough. For the amount we paid and expected to do was not an acceptable experience

Our recent day tour to Abu Dhabi, booked through Viator, was unfortunately a string of disappointments from start to finish. We specifically chose Viator hoping for a reliable and well-organized experience, but what we received fell far short. Before booking, we repeatedly requested a clear itinerary via chat, insisting on it due to concerns raised by other reviews about tours omitting paid-for attractions like Qasr al Watan. This mirrors a previous frustrating experience with a Viator safari where I had to prove an included "Falcon Photo" was part of our booking. Despite our persistence, Viator failed to email us the itinerary. This lack of clear communication and follow-through is a recurring and unacceptable issue with Viator. Adding to the pre-trip anxiety, Viator also wouldn't confirm the type of car for the tour, despite my explaining my claustrophobia and preference against back seats. Luckily, a lovely Japanese family (who we exchanged numbers with by the end of the day!) graciously took the back seats in the 4x4, saving me from a very uncomfortable journey. The biggest issue, however, was our "guide." From the moment he picked us up, he was unfriendly and uncommunicative. He claimed he couldn't speak English, Hindi, or even acknowledge being from Dubai. This is shocking, as speaking English is a fundamental requirement for a tourist guide. His took us "Miraj Museum," which was clearly just a shopping trap. To make matters worse, I later overheard him speaking perfect Urdu with someone else which my husband speak Urdu, Himdi amd Punjabi confirming he had lied about his language abilities. He offered no explanations about the sights, no helped to come in and out from car, walked meters ahead of us, and showed absolutely no engagement. He was more of a driver than a guide. A general video about the Abu Dhabi tour route played in the car when we go first time in the car, but we didn't even visit half the places shown. It got to the point where I had to take over the tour myself. I insisted he stick to the original website itinerary, which he was visibly unhappy about. My husband and I ended up using Google Translate to explain things to the polite Japanese tourists, who were as confused as we were. They even thanked me for confronting the "guide/driver" about his behavior. Before this trip, I had done my own research on Abu Dhabi, and I ended up becoming the de facto guide for the poor Japanese family, sharing all the information I knew. I essentially did the job the paid guide was supposed to do. This man's attitude completely ruined our experience. It's frustrating when people in the tourism industry treat tourists as though we're naive or have endless money to throw at pointless shopping traps. We travel the world and have encountered this kind of unprofessionalism before. How can someone who claims not to speak English be allowed to be a tourist guide? We left feeling incredibly frustrated that we didn't get to see cultural highlights like the Guggenheim, Louvre, or Etihad museums, even from the outside. Viator, if tourists choose a guided tour, it's because they want to experience the cultural aspects of a nation. These repeated issues are precisely why I often hesitate to book tours. Viator needs to drastically improve its vetting of guides and ensure transparency and accuracy in its tour descriptions. I will send this as an email to tourism office if Dubai as complain.
