4.00The driver was on time to pick us up and he provided information throughout the 3 hour drive, making the time fly. We stopped enroute for a break and overall the trip went quickly. Once we arrived at Abu Simbel, we were transfered to someone who then took us to our guide. Note - this does not end up being a private tour; we were added to another group of 3 when we connected with our guide. The guide was...terrible! He pointed at the outside of the temple, gave us a couple of quick facts and then told us he couldn't join us inside so we had 45 minutes of free time before we were to meet up with him outside the gift shop. We were at the allotted location on time, but he didn't show up for another 10 minutes. When he showed up, he demanded a tip before telling us to follow the path to the parking lot to find our driver. This guide was an epic failure. There was absolutely no value in having a guide at this site. The driver, however, was excellent.

5.00We took the bus from Aswan early in the morning to Abu Simbel. As a result, we arrived there early, so there were no tourist crowds or cruise ships there yet. So we could enjoy the silence and the great sunlight in front of the two temples. Our tour guide Abdelrahman had everything super organized and led us professionally across the grounds. In impeccable German he informed us about the most important historical facts. He answered our questions patiently. Then we visited the interior of the two temples and were heavily impressed. Abdelrahman gave us enough time to enjoy everything in peace. We can only report positive things and would be happy to recommend him.

5.00Wonderful trip! Our driver, Hany, was so lovely! He even had snacks and water for us in the car, which was an unexpected treat. Our guide at Abu Simbel, a different Hany, was super friendly and informative. Abu Simbel is beautiful and well worth the drive. We left Aswan at 8:30am and got back around 5:30pm, which made it a nice leisurely day with fewer crowds.

5.00Mark and his co-driver, gave us a fantastic trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan, we were handed over to a fabulous guide, knowledgeable and funny, who called Mark as we finished who was waiting for us, Mark delivered us back to our cruise ship in perfect time. Tickets, snacks and water provided. Great communication. Thanks

5.00The driver (Mark) was excellent and the van was absolutely clean and comfortable. The guide at Abu Simbel was also quite good. There were some snacks and drinks ready for me in the van, which was a nice touch.

5.00This was a great experience from start to finish. Hany, our driver was very professional, a safe driver and made sure that we had a wonderful experience. He was very thoughtful, checking in to see if we needed anything many times while also pointing out interesting sights on the drive out and back. Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us some very entertaining stories at the temples.

5.00The Abu Simbel tour was absolutely fantastic. The temple is truly impressive and well worth the trip. Our driver, Koko, was amazing. He was kind, genuine, and a very safe driver. He took great care of us throughout the entire journey and made sure everything ran smoothly. Our guide, Walid, was also excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to share the history and details of the site, which really added to the experience. Thank you both for such an amazing day. One useful thing for future travelers to know is that the police checkpoint in Abu Simbel closes at 4:00 pm, so it is important to plan the return and leave before then.

5.00The driver arrived on time at the agreed pick up point and drove very smoothly to Abu Simbel, inspite of the road conditions. Abu Simbel itself is fantastic and worth the over 3 hour drive (one way) from Aswan. Not sure if we were just lucky but we arrived around 11:30 and many of the large tour groups had left so not so crowded. We had a private taxi driver which was great.

5.00We had a wonderful experience at Abu Simbel, all thanks to our guide Ahmed. We had a smooth pick up and drop. The quality of the car was also good. The driver also drove very well and was safe. Ahmed explained us the history and significance of the temples. He was patient, friendly, and ensured we had enough time to explore, take photos, and absorb the beauty of this magnificent site. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!
