We begin the tour by crossing a meadow or mallin, and then climbing the slopes of the mountain. After 30 minutes we have views of the Centinela River valley, Lake Argentino and Torres del Paine. The route continues uphill until reaching elevated fields at about 400 meters above sea level. Where you could eventually see the ranch's livestock (cows) and wild animals such as guanacos, hares, foxes, armadillos and skunks (skunks or skunks). After appreciating the landscapes, the descent begins through a lenga forest, until reaching the barbecue area in the center of the ranch.

Had a wonderful morning. Horses are lovely - quiet but definitely with their own personalities - and staff are great. We had glorious weather and fabulous views, and a delicious lunch.

Lovely horses, stunning scenery, great staff, delicious lunch. We had glorious weather and the views are awesome. Seamless from pickup to drop off.
Come for the horse riding and leave before the meal is served.

The horse riding part of our experience was great. The cowboys were friendly and the horses well natured and knew where they were going so experience wasn’t necessary at all. 5 out of 5 for that part of the trip. Dinner on the other hand was very underwhelming. For an estacion with cattle I expected more than lentil soup that needed seasoning, chewy lamb stew and overcooked brownie. Then menu isn’t complicated so it really needs to be cooked well.

Surprised by the very high level, both the guide who took us to the ride, Facundo, and the guys who guided the horseback tour. The level of professionalism, perfect English, the sympathy, respect and charisma of Marcos and both Facundos, made the experience of riding the hill even more beautiful. It is a pride that in a place that so many tourists from abroad visit, we have such a high level of guides.

Today we had a fabulous horse ride on Cerro Frias. We were very lucky with the weather - sun shining and low wind, so it was a perfect morning for a ride. The views are spectacular, we saw quite a bit of wildlife, and generally had a great time. Diego and Facunda looked after us very well, shared lots of info about the area, were very supportive of the novice riders, and made it a fun trip, as well as taking some photos for us as we ride along. I rode General and my husband rode Prince, both excellent mounts who were calm, steady and sure-footed. We were a group of six riders plus our guides. A good number for getting plenty of attention and support. The lunch that followed was yummy and sustaining.

We had a wonderful horseback ride at Cerro Frias and the guides were very friendly, service oriented, highly skilled and very professional. The views were amazing, and the horses were sure footed and well-trained. The facilities were aesthetically pleasing and clean , the food was authentic and quite good. We got very lucky and had beautiful, clear skies, and light Patagonia winds. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I do think that there could be a couple of improvements. There are a couple of spots with SPECTACULAR views. It would be nice if there was a planned stop and the guides took unobstructed pictures of the riders and their horses as part of the tour. The guides did take pictures but while we were moving and in groups. We were a bit surprised not to wear helmets as on our horseback ride in Chile we did… as one of the riders saddle was not on tight enough and it slid around the horse with the rider sliding off with it (not injured), and one other beginner rider’s horse stumbled and nearly tumbled, things can and do happen and safety is important too. Recommend offering helmets to riders. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The crew picked us up from our hotel and we had a fantastic experience riding horses with guides near us at all times. We did the evening excursion and had a lovely dinner afterwards.
