Be seduced by the fascinating landscape of the Perito Moreno glacier on this full-day tour from El Calafate. Admire the mesmerizing beauty of the spiky glacier walls, its crevasses and the immensity of its ice formations while touring this renowned national park. Optional: If you choose the "including Boat Safari" option, you'll get a closer view of this natural wonder from the water! On this tour, you’ll also learn about the general glaciology of the region, as well as the formation of an ice bridge, a particular phenomenon that happens every few years in the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Important: Passport name, number, nationality and date of birth are required at time of booking for all participants.

Important: Passport digital copy from all passengers are required to confirm Boat Ride

Children: Travelers MUST provide a copy/attachment of children passport if they are under 15 years old. All children must occupy a seat.

Infant seats: Available for children from 3 up to 5 years old when requested in advance, subject to availability.

Please bring: Warm clothing, waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable footwear and clothing. You can bring refreshments.

Inside the National Park there is a cafeteria where you can buy snacks or have lunch. Also, you can take your own box lunch.

You will be arriving back to El Calafate at approximately 5pm / 5:30pm.

Pick-up is provided at accommodations with a front desk. Otherwise, we will confirm the tour under meeting point.

The maximum capacity for the 'Safari boat ride' depends of the boat used on the tour date, which could be: 65, 115 or 160 people.

Perito Moreno Glacier

Los Glaciares National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 when its almost 200 glaciers were discovered. Half of the park is occupied by the Patagonian ice field, the second-largest ice field after Antarctica. Upon arrival at the National Park, you will purchase your entrance tickets.

Excellent boat trip. A tip, stay close to the exits if you want to find a prime spot outside when the crew opens the doors to allow you to get out. Get on the bridge deck quickly.

The experience offers a complete trip to the perito moreno glacier. I should definitely include the boat trip, because this really adds value to the experience. I think more experienced travelers can also organize the tour by themselves, by going to the park, following the well-signed trails and booking the boat trip. The added value of the tour is mainly the explanation of the guide during the way to the park about the glacier, the environment and a little bit of the history of the region.

We had enough time to walk the walkways and with the boat you can see the Perito Moreno glacier up close. Both the guide and the driver were correct and friendly.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The time at the glacier was ample, and we did the boat ride option which was very worthwhile to see the glacier up close. Overall a wonderful experience with a mix of activity/walking and relaxation (bus & boat).

Definitely do this excursion! They were efficient, informative, and friendly. I learned so much along the ride about the geography and history of the glaciers and region. The guides are so good at what they do! I would 100% do this again.
