The tour was great. Scotty is an amazing guide and driver. He’s very helpful, has a lot of interesting information to share, and is also funny. Everyone at Leisure Tours was helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. The scenery en route and in Akaroa was beautiful, as was the view from the boat ride. We saw dolphins and fur seals. I also went on their tour to Arthur’s Pass with the same guide and it was equally fun and interesting, with amazing scenery.

The tour started out high above Christchurch at the Sugarloaf Scenic Reserve. The views of Governors Bay and the city below were outstanding. The small waterfront community of Akaroa was very nice. We opted for the included lunch at Bully Hayes and it was delicious. The two hour harbor tour was very enjoyable. We saw fur seals and Hector’s dolphins. Our driver Jude was pleasant and a very good driver.

The tour was great. Pete, our driver/tour guide was amazing. He was friendly, very informative and kept us on schedule without feeling rushed. We lucked out with the weather and had a great time on the Akaroa nature @blackcatcruises…. We sighted dolphins and seals to top off the ride.

It was a very pleasant day with beautiful scenery and Akaroa is charming. The cruise was great and we saw the Hector’s dolphins.

Full bus means cramped backseat if you are the unfortunate one to be stuck in the back. Beautiful countryside with a few stops of exploration or comfort break. Our guide was a lovely chap. Wish I had more time to spend in Akaroa.
