Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point
Here you will find informational displays about the pipeline and an example of a pig, the device used to clean and inspect the inside of the pipeline. It took 70,000 construction workers and $8 billion of investment capital to build the famous 4-foot silver thread that snakes its way through 800 miles of Alaskan wilderness to reach the nation's thirsty refineries, crossing mountain ranges, earthquake zones, permafrost, and rivers. Some 420 miles of the pipeline are elevated (with 554 animal crossings), and outside Fairbanks is the place to see it. As you watch, consider this: Every hour, more than a million dollars of black gold flows through it.
James Dalton Highway
From Fairbanks, the Elliot Highway takes you about 73 miles north to the start of the Dalton Highway, traversing boreal forest hills of birch and aspen trees and tundra valleys of streams and small rivers. You will cross the mighty Yukon River and pass through the valley to Finger Mountain, a treeless high point with short walkways and kiosks to learn about the region’s geology and alpine tundra. The Arctic Circle turnout has bathrooms and a picnic area.

5.00We had a great experience with Nick on this day tour. It’s a long journey but Nick took good care of us and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. We learned a lot about Alaska from him. Although it’s a long trip we didn’t get bored at all, and we saw some amazing views along the way. I highly recommend Nick and this company for anyone who wants to explore arctic circle.

5.00I just did an Arctic Circle day tour and it was absolutely fantastic—easily a 5-star experience from start to finish. A huge shoutout to our guide, Nick, who made this trip truly unforgettable. Nick is incredibly responsible, knowledgeable, and such a safe driver. The roads in the Arctic Circle can be rough and bumpy, but he drove smoothly and confidently the entire time. He shared so many interesting facts about the Arctic, explaining everything clearly and keeping us engaged with great little knowledge bits from animals, plants and everything throughout the day. What I loved most was how thoughtful and caring he was. He constantly checked in on how we were feeling, made sure everyone was comfortable, and did so much to help us fully enjoy and immerse ourselves in the experience. He’s friendly, compassionate, and genuinely cares about his guests — the kind of guide you hope to have every time you travel. The weather was a bit rough at first, but once it cleared up, we got to see some of the most stunning, one-of-a-kind scenery you can only find in the Alaska wilderness. It was breathtaking and nothing like I’ve seen before. Overall, this tour is highly recommended. The views are incredible, and the service and care from Nick are top-tier. If you’re thinking about visiting the Arctic Circle, this tour is absolutely worth it!

5.00Our tour guide, Nick, was extremely knowledgeable. Throughout the entire tour, he shared fascinating information and answered nearly every question related to Alaska. His sense of humor was outstanding and made the experience even more enjoyable. If you decide to take this tour, I highly recommend asking for Nick as your guide. However, I am sure the other guides are just as professional and well-prepared. Highly recommended!

5.00The Arctic Circle tour was an incredible experience and well worth the long day of travel. I initially hesitated because of the length of the tour, but the scenery along the way is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of stops to capture the views. My guide, Nick, was fantastic and went out of his way to help me take photos, which I truly appreciated as a solo traveler who rarely gets pictures of myself on these trips. The absolute highlight was catching the Northern Lights on the drive home—it was the perfect end to the adventure!

5.00Alan was a great tour guide for the treck to the arctic circle. He added lots of color to the long drive, including Dalton Highway etiquette. He took the time to stop both on the way out to the Arctic circle to see unique sights and great views, as well as on the way back to see the aurora. Alan shared his favorite aurora viewing spot, which we visited multiple times after. If you are looking for a full day trip to a rarely visited spot, this tour is great!

5.00This was an excellent experience from the beginning. Our tour guide, Nick, was on tine at the pick up location. He welcomed us to the tour and gave us a safety briefing before departure. Throughout the drive, Nick was teaching us about each different locations. He is also an excellent driver. He made sure we would make it back safe. Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience.

5.00Nick was truly a BLESSING to have as our tour guide! From the start, he was incredibly patient, kind, and so knowledgeable about the area. He made sure everyone felt included and never rushed, he even took tons of pictures for everyone without hesitation. His kind blue eyes and great sense of humor (be ready for the dad jokes 😂) made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares about the people he’s guiding. If you get Nick as your tour guide, just know you are in very good hands. Highly recommend! The only drawback for this tour was the limited legroom on the bus. Felt very cramped at times. Especially, if you have long legs.

5.00This was an incredible experience. Alan was a great tour guide. The temperatures were below -50 throughout many parts of the drive, but we felt totally safe and looked after throughout the entire 12 hour road trip. This was truly an adventure, and one that I'll remember for the rest of my life!

4.00We went on this tour on 1/4/26. It was a long trip in a van that was packed to capacity. The back row in the van had 4 seats of which the outside two seats had big tire humps on the floor that limited the amount of floor space available for feet. The tour operator should not have filled the van to capacity. The two outer seats on the back row should not be considered as a seat. The drive was long and Nick did a great job of getting us there and back safely. We stopped several times on the way back to take pics of the Northern Lights which I really appreciated. We were glad that we went, but it was a very uncomfortable ride due to seating on the back row.
