When aurora activity increases, guests are free to step outside into our vast 10-acre open yard, offering 360° unobstructed sky views and wide, barrier-free sightlines for optimal aurora viewing and photography. A professional guide continuously monitors aurora activity using a live aurora camera, helping determine the best moments to view and photograph the Northern Lights both indoors and outdoors. On the tour day, final details will be confirmed with you. If you’ve booked a transfer service, departures typically occur between 9:00–9:30 p.m., with flexible options available, including airport drop-offs. We look forward to hosting you at Aurora Camp.

A well organized and well interpreted look at one of the great spectacles in the Creation. Our operator, David, picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the outskirts of town to a nicely attired cabin, where he explained to us how to set our cameras and phones to best capture images of the Aurora. He has an aurora image indicator set up in the cabin and is able to anticipate spikes in activity. Each time there was a spike he let us know and we were able to go outside and see the lights as well as photograph them. The cabin also has plenty of tea and coffee options (including cappuccino!) and snacks. The result is a relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of interaction between the guests. David also took a series of photos of everyone with the lights behind them and shared them with us, individually. This was the first time my family and I have seen the Aurora borealis; it couldn’t have gone better!
If you’re thinking about it, just do it!

David was a fantastic guide and shared lots of information of the lights and life in Alaska. He made sure our experience was wonderful! The cabin was so cozy with lots of games, drinks, and food while we waited for the lights.

Communication was great prior to pick up. Our guide, David, was friendly, upbeat and safely got us to our destination. The lodge was well equipped with snacks, drinks, and comfortable spaces. We happened to have a beautiful night for the auroras and got some great pictures of our own and that David took. Very much recommend!

We booked this tour last minute because our Chena Hot Springs tour was canceled due to a blizzard. We were a bit worried if they’ll be able to accommodate us, but Joy was simply amazing! She coordinated with us and arranged the transfer. Our guide David was knowledgeable about the aurora and took great pictures of us! The cabin itself was very comfortable. It was packed with snacks. David also baked a pizza for us!! As there was a blizzard in the area that afternoon, there were lingering clouds. So, we had to wait in the cabin for almost 3 hours to see the aurora. But when we saw that, it was just breathtaking!! David promptly arranged the camera and took our pictures. Everyone could take as many pictures as they wanted! So good! Overall, it was a very successful trip for us after our other trip cancellation. A huge thanks to Joy and David for making our evening a memorable one!

From the booking to the drop off, David kept us informed and engaged in the experience. He explained how the northern lights work and how to anticipate them showing and finally at 1:15am they showed. While we were enjoying the views, David set up his camera and took pictures of each of us with the dancing lights !

This was an amazing experience!!! The lights were unbelievable! The host, David, was excellent in preparing us for taking photos and sharing photos of us that he took. The cabin was comfortable with plenty of snacks to enjoy during warm-up periods. Highly recommend!
