  All of the Destination NWT tour guides are amazing. We had amazing views of Auroras both at their beautiful lodge where hot cocoa waits, and Aurora chasing. I would highly recommend and will recommend Leon & Luna’s tour company. We enjoyed snowmobiling, dogsledding, city tour where we learned much about First Nations culture and history.   Flexible between chasing and staying lodge depending on the weather conditions. Great tour guides Mo and Tina, who flexibly adjust setting-out time to maximise the chances to see aurora.

  Knowledgeable guide. Tina delayed our departure based on the weather forecast and that was a spectacle decision. Friendly guide and driver. Tina took pictures for all guests and shared right after the tour ended!

• Amazing lights, disappointing lodge.

  We were lucky to see some incredible lights that evening at the lake on Ingraham Trail. Tina was kind and took a few pictures of the lights to share with us. A couple got engaged that night, though, so it felt more like a personal photo shoot for them. We weren’t at the lake for long even though the lights were still pretty spectacular. They took us to a lodge which is in a pretty area and looks nice from the outside, but inside looked like a frat house. The kitchen area where you could get hot cocoa was just covered with stuff. Snacks were subpar. No soap or hand towels in the bathroom. The deck viewing area wasn’t shoveled and felt dangerous given there were stairs under the snow to navigate. Honestly the lodge was the worst part. I felt held hostage there with the rest of my group while everyone stayed inside staring at their phones. I was one of only a few who ventured out to the decks to watch the lights and they were far off in the distance. I had an epically bad travel experience getting to Yellowknife so I can’t understand why they all stayed inside scrolling their phones. Yellowknife is a spectacular place to see the lights, but it’s something you can do on your own with a rental car. If I ever make it back, I’ll try the place with the heated domes or teepees for that experience. This tour was not worth the money.

  For many years witnessing Aurora Borealis was on our list. This year it became an absolutely awesome reality, thanks to our tour guide Mo Wu. Having a cottage to retreat from thr Friday temps was great.

  I was taken by bus from downtown to the lodge. We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night. I had a wonderful time with my guide MO who took some good photos of me. Thank you!

  A walk that mixes entertainment and adventure. Mo, our guide does everything possible to achieve the best experience, highly recommended. The landscapes are extraordinary in places that can only be seen in dreams.

  Were to start the bus had no heating and the doors wouldn’t close properly, it was -30 when we arrived at the lodge it was a house, no heating on they had to start the fire place but didn’t do this for about 1/2 hour, had to make our own tea, coffee or hot chocolate, they boiled the jug, they had a tin of biscuits on a table and two average size packs of nibbles, the biscuits tin was empty with only a few cracked scraps. There were dirty dishes in the sink the bench was covered in mess and dirty cups and plates, the toilet was also in need of a good clean. It hadn’t been cleaned from previous tours. They had fold out chairs but didn’t bother to set them up I ended up doing it myself . It took the fire about 1 hour to start to warm the house, we had to were all our clothes jackets hats gloves etc in the house because it was so cold This whole experience was so disappointing we were not given what we believed we paid for very unprofessional, the boss was there and wouldn’t come to speak to us or apologies This was offered as a first class experience but was anything but! SO DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL WE NEED TO BE REFUNDED

  Even though we didn't see too much Aurora because of the clouds, Tina was a great hostess. The only negative part of the the experience was that the lodge is quite a filthy mess, except especially the bathrooms. They really need to clean it up if they want to run a proper operation.
